Suites savers now available

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I've never booked redemption tickets/flights on SQ before. What are the chances of scoring 2 Suites saver seats to Europe (one way - either going or returning) in November a year ahead? I'm assuming that getting 2 J saver seats would be much easier, right?

To be honest I think getting 2 Saver Suites redemption wouldn't be available unless it's say HKG-SIN vice versa on A380. Being short haul and to "fill it" / advertise the product it would be readily available. I've heard that best bet would be to get one Saver & one Standard.. That would most guarantee both tix.

seen plenty of availability SYD-SIN and vice versa for 2 savers.

LHR-SYD also available early next year * 2 savers

Can say I feel SG suites have top four infrastructure of F class A380 along with EK TG and MH

I haven't actually flew either of these A380 F cabins but I always thought SQ and EK were the top dogs with MH and TG somewhat behind.
Suprised you say you would rate the hard products as being comparable.
What are others' opinions ?

Yes it is... BUT, if you look closely, most of the time the SIN-LHR is F in 777-300 and not A380 Suites!!

FWIW - I have 2 Suite Savers booked MEL-SIN-LHR for June next year - 2 sectors in Suites.

Now riddle me this one Batman - am I the first person in history hoping for an equipment sub? Out with the 380 and Suites - in with the new F on 77W - I just really wanna try it?

So think about it guys - is a man praying for his Suites redemption to be downgraded to new F on 77W really still in posession of a full bag of marbles?

Before serfty and penegal jump in with their half smart answers as to my mental state let me add that I have already experienced Suites a dozen or more times.

Well done, CruiserElite

There is this SQTalk post which claimed to have had 100+ F/Suite experiences, possibly beating our own Cove's.

Thanks for the replies. So, it seems that it is hard to get 2 Suites savers but not impossible. I guess I'll have to be flexible with dates. Does it make a difference if I look for availability 12 months in advance?

Hi Folks,
Just booked my first suites redemption SYD-SIN rtn in October. Really looking forward to it, and thanks to this thread have a) booked 3C and b) not used BTC.
Are there any other tips on how to maximise the experience (besides filling myself to bursting with Krug?
Thanks and regards - especially for the excellent methods championed on this board leading to massive accumulations of points enough to afford the SQ suites.
Regards,
Peter

Yeah your right about A380 SIN-HKG.. 2 things tho.
On the SYD-SIN A380 departure it gets me into SIN past 17:00. I can connect straight away to HKG at 18:00 something ie: the 777-300ER offering. As I'm on a tight schedule I need to be in HKG that evening. Also, when I selected this fare the system didn't allow an A380 SIN-HKG connection anyway! I haven't tried SQ First so it was kind of like a tester / combo of both their luxe products in one hit. So I'm quite pleased.
Correction on the miles required, I meant 63,750. It seems the rumours are correct, I think they only release ONE Saver Suites redemption. I booked this one about 2 weeks ago for Nov 15 departure. Now only Standards available, however before it slid onto Standard they really were trying to sell you on the Saver leaving at 7:40 in the morning - 777-300ER of course!! Not A380 and def not as "sweet".. I wonder if similar fares such as one I booked is available too? That includes 'an extra sector' but still costing the same as one aka SYD-SIN for 63,750 that's within the 2-3.5 hour flying time from SIN. Eg: SYD-BKK or SYD-PVG or the likes!! If no than its prob cos they feel the HK market or CX market is important to them?!

If you do the other way HKG-SIN-SYD on SQ861 - SQ231/SQ221, you will be able to do A380 F on both legs, and they are 63750 miles! I am doing this route in 1 month's time! I think it is a bargain!

The only bad thing is that SQ231/SQ221 are overnight routes so you don't have as much time to enjoy the facilities as you would like. Also due to overnights they probably only have 1 meal on the SIN-SYD sector.

Cool - I'll remember that next time. But yeah your right - it is a bargain 2 sectors considering SIN-SYD vice versa is 63750 anyway. Did u use SQ KrisFlyer points or convert them over from A3 FFP? If so, how much mileage did it cost you to convert?

I just transferred Amex MR points to Krisflyer 1:1 and redeemed the flight straight away. My A3 Gold was from status match from my old BMI Gold status. But since flying F there is not much use of A3 status anyway unless you want even more luggage allowance than what is given in F ticket.

Cool.. Yeah I've got some AmEx MR points too.. Can't complain considering the F ticket is worth over $4k..

Slight OT, sorry, but are all the A380 flights Suites, or are they sometimes ordinary (?!) F?
This was my itinerary:
