Suites savers now available

It wasn't straightforward due to POS controls on SQ redemptions but not impossible. Pretty rare for POS controls on redemption classes. First 2 agents insisted there was no availability until I worked out that they were searching for MEL-LHR rather than MEL-SIN... There aren't any seats on SINLHR as we're already confirmed in 2 Suite Savers ourselves on that sector in the first place. Nor was I keen for them to cancel the entire itinerary and rebook lest the inventory I am already holding for SINLHR don't return to O class upon cancellation. Third time lucky - I told the third agent that there's definitely availability if she searched for MELSIN by itself and incorporated that into the itinerary rather than attempt to rebook the entire routing... 30 mins on hold and it was all done. No cancellation and refunds - just payment of a service fee and SFT difference (YQ had increased by $70 within the last couple of months).

What's the odds of the new F class on the 777 tomorrow nite?
Can't check flight numbers as at the beach but think its 319 and wait list 321

i think that the first flight for the new 77W will be on SQ 308 on 27 Sep

Just arrived LHR and was firm on SQ 319 777 in F and SQ 221 in Suites to SYD via SIN

Asked at the transit desk if I could go later on the Suites flights (2 hours later- no prblems with the connect time in SIN, just less time in PDR).

The transit agent checked ( even though I said was a points booking), and all good they moved me to suites on SQ 321. Yippee!

I had been wait listed on SQ 321 with no chance of it coming thorugh, as a new booking was Wait listed in all three categories of points spend.

Just in lounge and guess what???

get a txt/email through saying my waitlist has cleared for SQ 321.

Glad its only 2.5 hours away. How would I get to the airport to grab that late waitlist!!

I might try that on my SYD-SIN-LHR trip, as I'm booked in suites for SQ222 but F for SQ306. Unless the new product arrives to the 777 in time

Phone call fail today.

"I see your flight has been ticketed. Is there anything else I can assist with?"

Can't see any flight details, make changes, etc, online. Bit annoying to call for seats/meals as they always say they cannot hear me.

Thanks cove will give it a go. Tried using the online contact form and their response was "thank you for your feedback. We are working with out vendors to improve our online experience" but didn't actually address the problem.

Saw last night that the waitlist had cleared for 232 on Oct 7th and now I'm off the 777 and in Suites the whole way. Odd isn't it, that it's my birthday tomorrow and this is the best present I'm likely to get..........................;-)

We had 8 in Suites so we both used 2 Suites each by asking nicely. We had the double Suite in the middle for sleeping and the window seat for dining and movies. The caviar, Krug and the French red are items that we don't have in the fridge at home so it is so nice to get the special treatment. Well done SQ!

It's an embarrassing question because my wife wanted to know. She thinks I look sexy in my QF pjs and wants to see the SQ ones. Yes, you can all think she's twisted - but then again she did marry me.

Yes you get to keep the PJs.
My wife wears hers but I find them too hot on board so I have them brand new in the wrapper in my carry on as I leave the plane.

Yes, you do. I'm wearing mine as I type this I don't know of a single airline which hands out PJs but doesn't let you keep them.

Indeed, I have only flown on SQ once, in J, and was blown away with the service/food.

Nothing was too much effort and crew went well out of their way to look after my +1 at the time who was feeling quite ill. They brought her several different drinks and small snacks to help her feel better

I can only imagine suites is beyond this. Shame the flight/s aren't longer, but Europe is next on the list around July next year

Seat selection? Remember A and D seats for LHDs / C and F for RHDs.

I made mistake of not taking my glasses 2 weeks ago - TV screen is well back from your seating position - keep this in mind if your 'peepers' are an the blink like mine.

Also bear in mind FAs can sometimes can be a little hasty with meal service - slow them down and savour the experience.

This morning was forced to cancel QF F MEL-LAX / LAX-MEL for this week and booked SQ J MEL-PVG / PEK-MEL instead - all this F talk making me feel somewhat cheap now - sigh!
