I've got a 12 hour layover coming up which I'm now regretting. Has anyone ever asked and received a 'fly ahead' on a reward F ticket?

On that note, anyone have a favourite lounge in FRA when flying SQ?

What route are you taking to get to China Cruiser Elite? I have been thinking Mrscove needs a sample of Shanghai and a look around to see a billion or two folks.

MEL-SIN-PVG or MEL-SIN-PEK cove - check below - MEL-SIN-PVG F avail now for dep morrow:

SQ F.JPG

This is the perfect timing IMHO - yes a waste to sleep in F but it's great timing to arrive PVG - I always take these flts if avail - and J morrow also:

This pairing not as good as an 8 or 9.30 dep SIN but it aint bad and it's available! 78,625 ew in F / 61,625 ew in J - plus taxes of course.

We are in Melbourne this weekend if you are around.
Thanks for the info on flights out of Melbourne to China.

Guys

Hypothetical Q

Current confirmed Suite has 55 min in SIN before next flight.

My real desire is the next flight to EU 4 hrs later but alas, no seat !

What would happen if I were to 'fall asleep' in the TPR and miss my confirmed flight?

Would SQ deport me back to Oz or ... put me on the next (desired) flight, in F as booked ?

Has anyone done / heard of this sort of 'accident' ?

Cheers

Ps: of course, I'm on the Waitlist for the next flight .

TPR staff will not let you sleep through and miss a departure - they are totally over every pax in there. Also as F pax and assuming you have luggage checked through just no chance they won't come grab you.

55mins is tight - assuming you arrive on time then you are going to have virtually zero time in TPR anyway. 807 ex PEK then 237 SIN-MEL has 50mins l/o - I have missed this connection a number of times due to late arrival into SIN - I have also literally walked off one flt and through security at adjoining gate to catch next sector - luggage missed the flt. legroom have you called KF and begged begged begged them to get you on later flt? I would keep trying - keep trying if you really want later flt - changing flt times is the only occasion when you don't necessarily take NO as the definitive answer from the girls. :D

Yes, I know.

That's why I was thinking of "accidental" events.

I will have to beg now.

What happened then, CruiserElite ?

Accommodated on the next flight home ?

In the same cabin class ?

Thanks tdog - am really looking forward to experiencing it - how is the 'comfort level' for sitting?

i guess you'd do it once to say you've tried it, but i'd still take the suite, unless you get a empty flight like us. it was practically flying private!

everything is still nice and shining!

No question you would take Suites if available and connections suit - but when you get post booking sub sometimes no choice. As for empty cabin I get that very regularly in F MEL-SIN / SIN-PEK and vv - not so much SIN-PVG but usually only 1 or 2 other pax.

Great pics!

Hmm, seems like there's no ottoman for companion dining if travelling together with someone and you both want window seats.

Definitely no ottoman in old or new F - only R. BTW - who has actually dined as pairs in Suites - surely that table is too small for 2 people to comfortably dine?

the table pulls down from underneath the TV in front (same as old F) so yeah don't think you could do twin dining. memory is a bit hazy though so may be mistaken.

the missus was more interested in continuing her movie than speaking to me during meal service. i had trouble getting her to take photos of her meal let alone look at each other!

Yep kinda same experience for me also - kinda think the romantic dining notion might be for lovers rather than married couples - not that we don't love dining together - and probably presumptive of me to speak in such terms - how do others feel?

Same here !

Then we are all in the same boat (suite).
