Suites savers now available

Well folks,
Just booked my second experience in Suites. First time was SYD-SIN-SYD, but this time I get a little more time to explore and experience.

SYD-SIN-NRT-LAX-NRT-SIN-SYD in Feb next year and already can't wait.

Amazingly enough it all worked perfectly well booking through the website, including seat selection and later I'll try a couple of BTC offerings just to compare.
Of course, a far less complex issue than most seem to have the need to call the call centre for.

Gotta luv the suites savers. (Oh..and the ATO).

Regards,
Peter

Peter you sound quite warped. I really like that.
Our next run is in August and the there is September and of course November.
To be fully warped we are going Krug for lunch today because we can.

Warped is one of the nicer things I get called - Thank you cove!

Explaining our love of flying and experiencing the finer things in life (like Suites and TPR) to non-believers is simply tiring. And most of them then use a term that also begins with w and has 6 letters. Heathen!

Regards,
Peter

After a lot of thought I phoned SQ this morning. I am trying to catch the earlier flight (SQ221) back from SIN to SYD. There are no award seats available for two people at this stage but they have put me on the waitlist. It will mean no TPR and quite a long time in Sydney before my flights home but it should be worth it.
The waitlist cleared this morning so we now have 3C and 3D on SQ221. I am looking forward to trying the double bed. A shame that there is only an hour between connecting flights and we won't get the TPR. We will get in on the flight over for quite a few hours so can't complain too much.:)

Are you guys finding a way around the 0.5 points per dollar for Amex MR? Or just paying lots of bills over time..?

I mainly use the Westpac KrisFlyer Amex.
+1 forget the AMEX amex use bank branded every time or WOWEDR MC if Qantas is your preferred (but we are talking suites here aren't we....quickly washes his mouth out with soap at the mention of the Q word!!!!)

Thanks everyone, looks like the Altitude Black is a good one to have - 3 points per AMEX dollar with no clause (that I can see) restricting points earn on ATO spend. However the ratio to KF miles is 2:1, ie 1.5 KF miles per dollar (same as the Westpac SQ Platinum AMEX). Their Mastercard earn (1.25 per dollar = 0.625 KF miles per dollar) is slightly better than the KF Visa earn (0.5 KF per dollar) though...

Alt Black and Select will get you flying further farther faster!

Which one is Select?

Just use Citibank Select for everything other than ATO as Citibank Australia pay zero points on ATO.
One of my partners has just booked Suite Savers for two so I think that means "happy wife equals happy life".

I did not know how to explain it but I am rather happy with the recent waitlist clearance.

SGN SIN SYD (J) in 2015

Got the clearance for the waitlisted segment (SIN SYD, from J to F).

Called up to hear:

Agent #1 "too difficult; have to cancel the whole lot to take up the cleared waitlisted flight; no SGN SIN award seat available etc.. etc..."

Agent #2: "Let me see..... It is only 2,000 miles extra and it can be done.... within 24 hrs as I need to wait for the miles to be returned from the cancelled J trip... About $USD100 extra ... Are you going to do it ?..."

Boys, that was the fastest YES I did ever utter.

He called me up today to ask for CC details and confirmations are in the INBOX !

Not a suite but then F is F - exp. for only 2,000 miles and $USD100 extra !

Would YOU take that offer ???
