We let Kiwis take our place for the RWC in the UK.Rugby is not a game I watch. Instead we are going to LAX to achieve SCs seeing they were offered as a special on QF.
Had the crayfish on the flight so no need for seconds.
I think it is time to book something to somewhere and today I am feeling less jet lagged.

At my computer feeling the same need to add a journey.

Have Suites to CDG return next July and me thinks a couple of days in Paris then fly to Dubrovnik then a Gulet sail for a week up the Croaition coast to Split back to Paris a couple of days in Epernay then home.

Have avialbilty on Austrian Airlines/Croatian Airlines there and back on Kris points so will probably grab these today.

Just need some more finessing on boat schedules ;)

I'm off to RWC in EY first apartments on 15/9/15
When r u going?

just for a week and a bit for the AUS v Wales game. 777 both legs there at present, which is fine on the day flight, but would've preferred the A380 for the longer LHR leg. have suites coming home though!

That sounds wonderful and you guys on here crack me up.

How would you book those 'internal' flights, on the SQ site?

You need to call the Krisflyer number and book as Star Alliance seats

Y is 12500 points +S$100 for a direct flight which is way cheaper than a cash ticket

I find the * A internal flights in Europe can be really expensive so Krisflyer spend is great value

Should be a great game I need to get back as school starts and I need to be responsible and get home.

Slumbing it on QF2 in F but waitlisted for SQ

I love this forum but some of the acronyms stump me. What the chuff is TPR?

The Private Room

It's the first class lounge for SQ in Changi airport. You have to be flying SQ First or Suites to get entry. There's a separate F lounge for star alliance partners.

Technically you have to be holding a SQ R or F boarding pass to gain entry - not just flying SQ - but as you added yes separate F lounge for *A partners.

Awesome. Thanks guys. Got enough points to do Au -Europe return in suites, so will check it out (If I find two award spaces)

So you mean arrival access, for onward journeys that are not on SQ?
NO not at all - to access The Private Room (TPR) - both for arr and dep access - you need to hold either Suites (R) or First Class (F) B/P. SQ SKL also has a dedicated First Class section - not TPR - which is accessible by all pax holding *A First Class B/Ps - guests of SQ R and F B/P holders - and all others who qualify like Solitaire PPS members etc. I am not aware that these pax have arr access into SQ SKL F Lounge - they may I do not know.

Thanks infinity.

If booking 2 one ways, is there a different price for F and suites eg:

SYD-ZRH is 112,625 pts

SYD-AMS is only 99,875 pts

No diff for Suites or First Class - SQ have 2 Europe Zones:

Zone 1: Amsterdam, Athens, Copenhagen, Rome

Zone 2: Barcelona, Frankfurt, London, Manchester, Milan, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Zurich

Zone 1 requires less KF pts for for J & F class rdpts than Zone 2.

Whoops misread - I thought you mentioned that you don't have to be flying SQ (onward) to have access.

been trying to work this out but i must be missing something so maybe someone could point it out to me so i stop wasting my time trying to work it out

looking at the SQ award chart for flights from zone 9 Aus - US. To West Coast it's 140k O/W in R. To East Coast it's 137.5k O/W. Going to East Coast is however significantly further isnt it. I had a look at the flight times on SQ website and from ADL - NYC via SIN and FRA it's about 30hours of flying whilst ADL-SIN-NRT-LAX is a couple of hours shorter but more expensive in redemption miles?

Thanks in advance!

Since when price of tickets (in $ or points) should have anything to do with actual distance (or time) flown??!! ;-)

Maybe not the cash price but award charts are often distance based.. So while a flight singapore to Kuala Lumpur is only 45mins it is expensive to buy in $ but is the cheapest award flight in terms of miles redemption as it is a short distance. Most of the sq award chart is distance based Except for some sweet spots in the award chart such as the AMS stop.
