For our Syd-Sin-Hkg we have booked 3C, D for both flights as 2C, D seem to be blocked (Expert Flyer suggest seats are not booked by anyone)...can we turn them into a double bed?;)
2C/D are bassinet and blocked. 3C/D can be made into a double bed.

2C/2D are indeed bassinet seats and blocked for online selection. You can call KF and request them which they will grant but you will be informed that indeed if a bassinet Suite is eventually required then you will be moved to accomodate the other pax.

On our recent ZRH-SIN flt there was only 5 pax in R - we ate / drank / lounged in 3C/3D and crew made up 2C/2D as our beds - we had a living room and a bedroom with double bed.

Now can you really believe any couple would choose 2 single window Suites so they can birdie / coughulus nimbus watch

So YES the 82.5K pts listed on Award Chart and which appear on flight search result are correct - but for HKG-SFO only.

Have I explained that clearly enough for you guys to understand?

Thanks Cruiser for the followup. You have explained it clear enough. Wish their website would do the same when searching ie. HKG-LAX shows 123250k points *in the header* instead of 82500k like it currently does which should be easy to do as there currently is no direct flight from HKG-LAX.

Now search HKF-SFO and see the points required for the indirect flights. Granted their waitlisted at Saver level but amusing nonetheless. This was achieved but selecting the direct flight first and checking total points, then selecting a waitlisted Saver flight and checking the total points.

Update- Guess it's a moot point as it only allows you to add the waitlisted flight at 70k points when the direct flight is already available, so there is no way I can see how you would get the waitlisted flight anyway.

Weird feeling me and the other half had today coming off SQ12 a few hours ago. We had suites 3C/3D which is lovely, but flight time was only 9hr 30minutes which we both agreed it was too short hahaha its an overnight flight departs 7pm , arriving 1pm local time .... after dinner and then breakfast, there was only around 5hrs of utilising those double beds. We both agreed, the flight should have taken another 2hrs and it would have been perfect.

Sitting in TPR at the moment after flying from Zurich on SQ345. Only three in Suites so Mrs Deka2 and I for the first time had 3CD as our lounging and 2CD as sleeping room. We both took a little while to get our things together at the end after spreading out over two suites.
It was a good flight, but we have had better service on other R Flights. The FA's were not quite as attentive.
Flying back to Sydney tomorrow night on SQ221 in R. This is such a great way to fly.

Have now grabbed two R seats SYD/CDG next 6/7/16 and the return R seats from CDG /SYD on 19/7/16

Another European bash is locked in!

Great to grab the seats 355 days out and worry about what to do in Europe later ;))

Good to see you aren't sticking your better half in the cargo hold next year as you tried to do last month!

Hasn't the game changed - once upon a time destinations were chosen first - then flights secondary.

I was just about to pull the trigger on 2 x R into FRA for June next year - right to last step in paying - Cruiserette pipes up and says why don't we go to London for a few nights to see some shows - good idea honey - so booked 2 x R into LHR. We will stay 4 nts London and have booked 2 x R ex FRA for 3 weeks post LHR arr - ATPIT absolutely no idea where we might spend those next 17 days or so - maybe Tuscany - maybe Croatia - maybe Prague - maybe Greek Isles - maybe Sth France - maybe Porto - absolutely no idea.

Cruiser I can tell you Mrscove loves London. She loves the old stuff. I mentally think wrecking ball but then realize my brain is out of sync with 1066 and all that history that followed.
We are both in TPR today and it is raining. No baggage class for Mrscove and after a flurry of activity on CCs she is well set for not traveling baggage class any time soon. Kris miles are my favourite air miles.
infiniti has saved us from snapping pictures so I think I will do my usual and enjoy the champagne and what follows.

CE. Nothing like saying I'll take a couple of weeks in Europe to dust off the Sydney cull in 2016
Same here. No idea where I'll go but anchoring in Paris means a great town to stay overnight before the lunchtime departure from CDG
And Cove will all the velocity points going atm maybe EY First Apartments might give Suites s challenge
Doing my first trip on these in 6 weeks to the Rugby World Cup
Enjoy the TPR

We have a Kiwi supplier heading for the World Cup. He has a plan to carry the cup back to NZ as he leaves for home 2 days after the contest is over.
Even the Kiwis know about Kris Miles!

Hey Cove. Another Kiwi here - we are very much present. Have been using KF and in points game since 2008. However, there is basically zero options to build up a reasonable KF points through bank cards issued in NZ.

Christmas locked in with the wife's family in Canada returning LAX - NRT - SIN - SYD with a 6 day stop over in NRT (at no cost somehow and with the 15% discount) all in J....... More I think about it, it's a lot of flying time and a pretty good R/F redemption rate. So need to load up my points again so I can waitlist just hope the operator is as helpful with the stopover in NRT. Has anyone had much experience waitlisting with a stopover via call centre?

HKG-SIN-SYD tonight Suites redemption. My other half thinks I'm mad for not flying direct. Some people just don't get it ;-)

Kimster isn't there a Westpac NZ cc that earns Kris Miles? What about Citibank NZ? Being deprived of Kris Miles should be something your Government could fix.

Citi NZ is non existent on CC. Other NZ CC have the lowest earn rate - usually into Airpoints, which in turn are a bit hard to earn and use. I am based out of Melb these days and shuttle to CHCH and Bangalore often - so my Prestige is keeping my points hunger satisfied.

Well Kimster you are ok with Citi Prestige as they pay on everything other than ATO at the moment and some are trying to sort out the mystery of Citi points balances changing and earn rates crediting. As for the rugby it is almost time.
Used two Suites yesterday as I have no mechanical ability to reset the seat from a bed. I asked nicely and the wonderful SQ staff made up a bed in an adjacent seat. There were 9 out of 12 used on one sector and 8 out of 12 on the sleeper run.

One thing for sure - you cannot fault SQ with their service and this has been proven time and time again. The suite's do get used to its full extent - evident by some of the posts I see from Cruiser, you and others. Well, who can resist having a lounge for living, dining lounge and bedroom - all at 14000 ft above ground.

As for the rugby - Another All Blacks win and my staff are in for a bonus - I've said!!!

Ok Kimster expect my job resume to arrive at half time in the final.
Tonight we had 4 Suites flyers in our apartment. It seems the word is out.

Is that a joke Cove.

I should looking at getting a US CC to leverage the points offers they offer in the US.

Yes I am joking Kimster.
I have Amex Premier rewards and a Citi AA executive card in the U.S. and I am very happy with the results.
The Amex warehouses points that can go to Kris Flyer and both cards have no extra foreign exchange fees.
