yup - TPR is for SQ F- whether F or R.

have somewhat reluctantly just booked an LAX-SYD Y+ QF redemption, and will need to cancel our LAX-NRT-SIN-SYD suites ride in December this year as SWMBO has determined she wants more time in Texas! :(

Ouch! That's a downgrade!

Each time I read about suites I salivate at the thought. I'm currently amassing Citi points to convert. Have about 0.5mil ATM. Dont really care where +1 and I go, just want to experience suites.

Ditto! I've got my AMEX Velocity 110K point haul and have just tipped 300K CBA rewards points into VFF (=150K Velocity points), so ready to shift them all along into KrisFlyer miles tout-de-suite !

Would it be better to keep the Velocity pts to travel EY F? (I have applied for the 110K Amex Velocity card for + 1...just sweating on its approval!! (I already have an Amex card :()

My entire holiday next year (Syd-Sin-Hkg) mentioned above in post#1755 was designed around enjoying Sq suites and maximising time at the TPR

He, he, he ... already have an Apartment booked to AUH this October . Off to enjoy some Georgian wines.

KPC will be trying out EY 787 F from BNE to AUH then A380 F apartment to LHR in September going to RWC

All using Velocity points

I might have to dicth SQ if they are that much better????????????

Nahhh just joking

Will be good to have choice though

Don't know if this is a glitch or not but check the current points requirement from HKG-LAX in Suites. Unfortunately I can't get the site to price it as shown as it is showing double the points are needed but I wonder if I called if it would be honoured.

What's it showing? I can only see waitlists for the saver level...

Edit: Saying 82500 at Saver level however...

spizz let me know or PM me how the KF centre goes with it. I know if i showed this in person to the staff at ION in SG, they would honour it.

Spizz what am I missing? Check this snip from SQ O/W Award Chart:

SQ HKG-LAX.jpg

LAX - Zone 13 - I am not sure what you are asking?

Cruiser the chart says it should be 82500... but when you do a dummy booking on the site it shows as 123250 miles required at saver level...

So either the chart is wrong or the website is wrong... nobody knows?!

Seems counter intuitive for zone 13 to be considerably cheaper than zone 12 (departing zone 4), as zone 12 and 13 are priced the same departing all other zones...

perhaps an error or a sweet spot?

Spizz what dates are you looking at pls? I can only see 82,500 for all dates I have searched.

There are diffs in pts rqts b/w Zone 12 and 13 - to some dests 13 reqs more pts / some other dests req less pts.

Once you push the "display total cost" button it throws up a different number (not 15% less, but about 50% more!)... perhaps a bug in the new website?

Which dates - I cannot see this happening at all?

latest example is 8th of May..

2pax HKG-LAX in Suites.... up the top it says 165000 for saver.... you click the available box next to it and then click display total cost... and it says it'll cost 246500 miles!!

Ah ha gotcha - I will be in SIN SKL in 5 hrs - will get girls in lounge to contact KF and clarify - but I will bet my lefty the 82.5K is the correct figure - will report back.

I've got Suites booked to go to the RWC. Only business confirmed for the way back, but waitlisted for Suites, fingers crossed it clears.

Can't wait for Dom and Lobster!

That reminds me, i need to book the cook!
