DISASTER - DISASTER - DISASTER

My best contact in KF call ctr Crystal has resigned from SIA effective immediately. I think even as recent as 2 days ago I directed another AFFer directly to her for assistance - in a msg via WhatsApp she asked me to apologise to rmb for not being able to complete your requests.

Sad day for me and sad day for the dozens of others she has assisted. I will try to dig into SQ/KF and attempt to cultivate another contact but it might take some time. Gems like Crystal do not grow on trees.

burmans sorry I cannot offer any more assistance right now - best advice is to call KF and see if they can help you. I will be back in MEL midday Thursday and will look up another contact or 2 for you if that might help - but not really sure if they are still at SIA either as I have only dealt with Crystal last 6mths or so.

Thanks for trying! I do appreciate thats a disaster as I have seen your many posts extolling her virtues!

MEL-xSIN-LHR booked for May2015 :) Ended up just heading over early May instead of late may...

F for MEL-SIN on 77W (wonder if we will get new F?) and R for SIN-LHR.... looking forward to our first SQ F/R Trip :)

Wow thats going to be a long wait. Have fun!

Are you doing a return trip?

On that note, are there any particular flight numbers the new F tends to appear on? I want to try it but no such luck yet.

Wow. How many bottles of each were loaded? How many pax were there? Great effort!

Not sure, we forgot to ask. There were 6 of us and only one empty suite on the flight. Don't think the other passengers helped us out too much.

The 3 blokes of our 6 did most of the damage. The 3 of us ate our dinner in my suite and knuckled down for a couple of hours before retiring to our individual suites for a nap. The girls were content watching movies and not having children climbing on them. The lobsters were large and tasty.

SQ637 NRT-SIN - We flew on this last week and one of the stewardess' told my husband it was the new F. It was my first time in SQ F so can't compare to the older fitout.

check my old posts from around April / May - we got new F on SIN-BOM for which i posted photos, i thought was a little odd for that route, but apparently it is quite common. it's nice, but for mine it's not that much more comfortable than old F (granted i have only taken 1 flight on each)

So what is the conversion rate of velocity points to get these?

I think the availability of award flights in Suites using Velocity points is close to zero; SQ seem to hold them back for their own FF programme.

Should be before Christmas if the announcement is any good is what I was thinking.

Cove u r spot on. We don't need VA competing for our R suites
Heaven forbid!!

But if VA do the 15% bonus for c/c transfer before year end and offer F/R on SG then this may present some value opportunities with the 15% online booking on SG

Aloha Cove from Waikiki

Mumms the word then about Dom Perignon and Krug then! (Just read Cruiser's travel report on VA)
