Flew new refurb F MEL-SIN last month and R SIN-LHR.... fantastic flights... first time on SQ F, loved it... much better than QF/TG.... Pitty we had our 1 year old with us who was great on the flight but couldn't really enjoy the experience because of it :)

Flew EY F home on 777 and that was up there with SQ as well.

Glad you loved it ferni - currently sitting in MEL SKZl F lounge awaiting 238 dep in old F - not that I mind old F at all - in fact I love old F.

Re TG - was that on 380? TBH I just loved my one and only TG F on 380 experience.

Is anyone else finding no saver availability next year April-May to Europe? Maybe it's all blocked for now...

Edit: Except for SYD-LHR, 8am departure from SYD with 18-22hr layover in SIN. I'm not a morning person ;)

Interesting little aside to recent R flt SIN-CDG - 9 pax in total - 6 females - and SQ had 5 female amenity packs to distribute - Cruiserette got a female one but some other female missed out - hard to imagine how that can ever happen huh?

For any one who likes Krug on SQ so much they want to buy it, Dan murphys is having it on sale for $199 online store only. On sale until 12pm tomorrow. $7 delivery, or if you order 2, it's free delivery ;)

Managed an upgrade for +1 from J to R CDG to SIN this week to join me in R at check in
Any others had a similar experience?

Last year I got Krug at $179 less 9.15% in rebates/credits from Dans. Next go is in 2 weeks time.
So infiniti how did you swing the additional suite upgrade. I thought begging did not generally work for this product.

I did meet the SQ airport manager from my trip there in January as she held some excess baggae for me ( 2 bottles of Champs) that I collected for this trip home.

I said I had waitlists that had not cleared but that I could see there were 4 seats available.

She got onto Krisflyer and low and behold up came the R seat.

Cost was S$200 plus 112400 points ( I assumed it was just a standard points fare for CDG/SIN and was advised that I would not get a refund of the J points I had paid on a separate PNR for CDG/SIN).

Last night got a call from Krisflyer saying there were not going to charge me the 112400 points.

I didn;t ask why just said many thanks and hung up

Maybe the SQ toothfairy was on my side that day??????????

You guys are a bad, bad influence (looking in partic. at infinity, cove, Cruiser Elite and a couple of others)....just booked myself and +1 Syd-Sin-Hkg next year, with both flights on the A380 with an overnight in Sin (does the TPR close...only joking as we will stay airside at the transit hotel:)). I assume we can visit the TPR on arrival if we have a BP for the following am?

Kevin

About time you got onboard!

Yes - You can enter TPR so long as you have a boarding pass. One time I had a nice lunch in TPR, and then went downtown for dinner & sleep, then returned the next day to actually fly out. As I recall this was the same trip I shared row 1 on a CX 77W with the artist known as SQ421, but he went to Colombo on another airline when I was in Singapore flying SQ

The service is so good that the staff will probably come and remind you that you flight isn't until tomorrow and offer to book a hotel and transfers for you just in case you didn't realise. Naturally you can decline this offer if you have booked the Ambassador Transit Hotel.

TPR closes from ~2am to ~5am, but you can hang out in the F lounge which I believe is 24 hours.

Yes you are eligible for TPR access both because you have arrival access and departure access if you hold SQ R or F BP. TPR closes after final pax leave lounge to board SQs final fly each night - it opens at 05:30 each day. Enjoy won't you and please report back.

If you have not flown SQ F before and therefore have never experienced TPR make sure you ask SYD check in for your personalized TPR invites. They prolly won't have them but ask them contact TPR and arrange them to have them ready for you when you arrive.

Now they may not do it for you - if they don't tell girls on TPR entry desks you want your personalized invitations to keep as souvenirs and they will happily oblige.

Have fun!

If you arrive on suites but transiting in F can you still access the TPR ?

yup - TPR is for SQ F- whether F or R.

have somewhat reluctantly just booked an LAX-SYD Y+ QF redemption, and will need to cancel our LAX-NRT-SIN-SYD suites ride in December this year as SWMBO has determined she wants more time in Texas! :(
