Suites savers now available

hi guys,
hoping for some advice please

if we are looking to book 2 R saver at the opening of the award calendar, how do i go about asking for a stopover?
i'm assuming if i want a 1 week stopover somewhere then i cannot add that at the opening of the 1st leg, but cannot afford to wait 1 week for the 2nd leg to open as i'm assuming the 1st leg would be gone by then as they often are.
so do i book the whole trip first then call in when the calendar opens for the 2nd leg and ask them to change the initial booking?

The Suites run to London from Singapore had six onboard so I used two. We used Crowne Plaza Changi and then had breakfast in the Private Room. All worked brilliantly today/yesterday.

Yes, you've got it: book the whole itinerary, and then call back in a couple of weeks and ask to change one of the legs. I understand you'll be charged $100 per added stop over.

might it be possible to book the outbound and a provisional return 1 day later right at the start of the calendar (hoping the outbound still available day 2 of award calendar loading) - then call back in a week to request the free stopover for the outbound, and call back yet another week later to move the return to 2 weeks from the outbound? sounds like a lot of work but $200 for 2 of us means a nice meal over there! and KF don't charge change fees for dates?

Assume you have an outbound and inbound, each one consisting of two sectors. further, assume you want to have a stopover in each of outbound and inbound. You'll need to:

1) book the outbound as it becomes available (both sectors)
2) wait till the 2nd sector of the outbound becomes available for the departure date from the outbound stopover
3) call and move the 2nd sector from the date originally booked to the date you are actually interested in (this will give you your outbound stopover and will add $100 to the ticket)
4) repeat steps 1-3 for the inbound.

Wasn't expecting much, but actually got exactly the suites availability I wanted:
SYD-SIN SQ222 on May 23
SIN-SYD SQ231 on May 26
I'd always heard last minute Suites Savers redemption availability was a myth..........

Seems like the SQ app does not allow the +-7days search any longer, which shows a week worth of whether saver is available

Hey guys. Have a few SQ redemption questions to do with suites. Trying to book 2 saver seats in R for next year, for 1 leg of our Europe trip and J the other. Only have enough points to do it that way, not R both ways.

Currently I have 2 J saver seats booked from Darwin to Zurich in April next year. There are 2 R saver seats available on the Singapore to Zurich leg still. Is there anyway to call up and have that leg changed over to R and the additional miles/taxes charged? Would they then charge the whole Darwin to Zurich trip at F saver award rate? Even though 1 leg would be J due to the lack of first. If any of this is possible, would it involve any change fees?

Next questions. Our return flight from Paris to Darwin opens up in approximately 2 weeks time. We fly back on Thursday 25 May 2017. What exact time/day AEST will that open up for redemption? Want to be logged in the minute they open to have the best chance of getting at least J.

If it's not possible to switch the first flight to the guaranteed R seats that are currently available, we will try to pickup 2 R seats on the way back from Paris to Singapore. With either the Singapore to Darwin leg in J if possible or I'll just pay for Y. It's only a 4hr flight and J on a silk air 737 is nothing to be excited about.

If can't get R seats on the return flight either we will obviously try for J the whole way through.

David if you do a 'Mixed Class' rdpt which is what you are seeking - J 1st sector and then R 2nd sector - complete schedule will be charged at highest cabin class rate and you will pay pts/$ at highest cabin rate - ie R/F award rates so that is not going to work for you.

TBH I do not know exactly what time seats open up each day - I will msg KF later in the day and seek clarification.

Ok thanks, that would be great. I guess my best bet is to try and get 2 saver R seats from Paris to Singapore the minute they open in 2 weeks time. Then just pay Y to Darwin. Not going to waste extra points with a mixed class F redemption for a 4hr flight on a 737. And if I can't get those 2 R seats I'll try and get J from Paris to Darwin given before discount its only 85,000 miles vs 80,000.

Also another question. If I manage to get 2 R seats from Paris to Singapore for our return leg and then book Y onwards to Darwin. Is there any chance I'm able to visit the Private room in Singapore at all? I'm guessing no but I really wish I was able to see that as part of the experience. Imagine I'll just have to resort to whatever lounge my virgin gold will let me get into in Singapore.

Yes CE we have no Suite flight from PER-SIN-PER but we are always able to get into TPR each way with our London or Los Angeles runs.

And no F right? So your R BP SIN-LAX/LHR gets you into TPR as normal with dep access for Premium Cabin pax into relevant lounge for most airlines on earth - your access into TPR on reverse legs is legacy of exactly this unpublished benefit of SQ arr access into TPR for all R/F BP holders.

Unpublished benefit = you will not find it listed anywhere on SQ web site - it's just one of those little gems in life that gives you a totally unexpected experience resulting in a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

And if that doesn't do it - might I suggest the PH Rare to get you over the hump. Seriously - my love for this drop grows every visit - line them up side by side - Krug and PH Rare - I would have to go eany meany miney mo - equally as enjoyable - IMHO of course.

Yes Perth gets business class to Singapore and back so I do get tempted to do a long cut by flying to the east to do Suites all the way.
High praise for PH from CE.
Now London had 3 days of summer/sun so far this year and it rained and rained yesterday.
Today we are going aboard HMS Duncan which is a British destroyer for a visit seeing it is moored next door.

Wow that is outstanding. Thanks for all the info! Fingers crossed we can get those 2 R seats then. The Mrs is a tad excited about the possibility of flying in suites haha. As am I obviously.
