No email here. And I have not yet requalled WP this year, so I would have thought I would have been on the list to "incentivise"*

*I have been waiting years to use that word in a sentence.

I received the offer, and currently deciding what to do. If I made it to 1400 SC by the end of June(currently 350), it would be really useful since I have a lot of international travel in early 2016 planned. On the other hand, there's a fair chance I wouldn't make it even with the offer :-/

Got it but SWMBO didn't (both WP) = thanks AFF because I was one click away from a J bookimg when I came on here and found reduced J status credits so no sale.

I booked a flight on the morning of the afternoon I received this email, so think I am covered. Made the flight all the sweeter!

I received the offer a few hours after my SG Mrs. On top of receiving 50% bonus SC's last week. I am only 400 SC's off requal end of April 2015. I will be using the 50% SC's offer but not the classic award offer as its a poor offer at discount Y SC's and after removing ASA's as it "costs them money to offer SC's" despite our higher co-payment etc. then to go ahead and offer SC's with lower payment is a bit stupid.

2 x WPs in this household both received it. Neither will use it due to forward bookings already in place with QF and (increasingly) OW carriers.

I too received this offer. It has been noted that this offer does not give you a ~.

Does anyone know if the regular Classic rewards give you a ~? (i.e. no points or SC, just the regular Classic award bookings.) I have been searching the Qantas website and I can't find the info.

Red roo I am feeling very unloved at the moment

QFF's customer analytics software has probably concluded that based on your or my recent spending patterns and flight crediting, receiving this offer won't extract any further cash out of us in the near future. Correctly in my case.

I received this and am now wondering if it is because I recently used my points to redeem an Any Seat Award (not the extinct mASA) for the first time? It was a desperate last minute back-up plan which I could cancel but ended up travelling on...

no they don't. It is listed in the fare earning classes (or rather excluded in the fare earning classes)

The whole thing is not worth the bother IMO. I won't be taking up the offer, with its poor rates.

For me, this promotion would probably result in QF getting some $$ from me (and reduce their FF points liability). Over the past two months, I have made no bookings with QF whereas perviously it was one flight per month.

I received the offer but SO didn't despite us both being WP. Just wondering whether a domestic J Classic Award redemption I booked mid-August was the trigger for receiving the offer as I did the booking for both of us from my account (same pnr). Perhaps they figure that if you were prepared to do a Classic award with zero SC/points/~ earn then you would look more favourably at receiving any SC earn however meagre.

Interesting thought. Out of my family of 6 I am the only person to have booked a Classic Award recently and the only one that's received the offer FWIW

I've got some some trips coming up over the next little while that I will use points for and get status credits as well.

So it's a win win for me although I dare say "the usual suspects" will whinge about me getting/maintaining status without paying what they consider to be a fair price for those status credits.

I decided on taking them up on the offer. MEL>SYD>BNE>SYD>MEL in Y for 24,000 & $122 for 40SC return is not bad IMO for flights during peak time in December considering I was planning on going to Brisbane anyway. (Same flights would cost $500 cash or $300 direct )

Didn't want to spend 48,000 for J as I feel the extra 24,000 will come in handy for O/S trips next year, I think.

I received both offers (+50% SC's & classic with SC's ) i can't see myself using either, unless there is an urgent need for me to fly somewhere outside of my planned travel.

We were planning on a short break to SYD or MEL in the NY .... this offer will probably push us over the line to PER and back, via MEL - in J  The PER Hyatt rates are almost free compared to SYD...
