Two things not convincing about that photo:
  • How do I know it's going to CDG? It could be any other train to somewhere else (unless the trains on this particular route have a special livery)
  • The EXIF data shows that the photo was taken last February, so that violates that date of photo rule.

Sorry! :)

Sorry! :)

Didn't read that rule - assumed after seeing the boarding pass ex London date didn't matter... so I suppose this is no good either...

Nope - metal knife photo EXIF data says you took that last February too. (I assume the EXIF data is correct, i.e. you've all set your cameras with the correct date!)

The ex-LON BP photo was fine because it was a photo of an old BP. The date of the photo is what matters. (You just can't take a photo of a photo, or a photo of a screen showing a photo). I have to admit I could have been a tough cookie and insisted on a BP with a departure date after 14/06/2010, but I'll let that one go to the keeper. I am the adjudicator, after all ;) :p

Re: The List, The Score, Fame Lists

- Entrance to the JL Sakura Lounge
- Question on a non-Australian immigration card asking if you are carrying more than a certain amount of cash on you
- Sign for "Passport Control" or "Immigration" in a language other than English

Should be able to manage those as I am flying OOL-CNS-NRT on Saturday.

A FID showing a flight going to HND (it is acceptable to have the FID just saying "Tokyo" if you can justify that the flight shown is schedule to go to HND)

What is FID? Also, I think this is slightly unfair - Haneda is cough and nobody flies there unless they is going Japan domestic or interasian...

Note that the second of those - the non-Australian immigration card asking about lots of cash - has already been found by notzac.

What is FID?

Flight information display.

Also, I think this is slightly unfair - Haneda is cough and nobody flies there unless they is going Japan domestic or interasian...

Well, :p

IIRC JL/oneworld were considering moving a lot of their flights to HND rather than NRT. Expansion of HND is looking beyond just domestic and Asia regional, from what I hear.

In other news, as of this post, 10 of 50 items have been found. Talk about a rush...

I love this thread!! Great work everyone, and great to read the blurb about each find.

@anat0l - I think it's ok to repeat items from previous hunts since you're strictly apply the photo date rule. Give the rest of us a chance and keeps us alert!
It would also be interesting, statistically speaking, to allow repeat finds within the same challenge. Obviously the first finder would get the glory, but we could also go for collective records - most commonly found item!

How the hell do you get an upgrade of that kind? (Unless you started with an Exec Level room)

I assume you took that photo yesterday (15/06/2010):?: In which case, it will be approved when you confirm this (and yes I'll let a cushion be counted as a pillow).

I have to admit with some of the photos (particularly those being attached, i.e. through the AFF attachment system) have been stripped of their EXIF data, so I can't determine when the photo was taken. In some cases I've taken this a bit for granted and already approved a find (although it does help if you report the date you took the photo; I will trust that you are honest in reporting this!)

So it is important please that you say where (city) and when (date) you took a photo for a find. Thanks! :)

Damn fine upgrade I must say - was taken Monday. Just need one more stay now by June 30 to get gold (it was stay 3 of 4)

Well done, then - on the find and the upgrade (and eventual HH Gold, too).

I think I just got #49. Blank sheet of paper with airline letterhead / markings.

Taken in the BNE INT QP on Wednesday 16th June 2010.

Geez that date restriction is a beauty!

I would be well and truly on the board if not for such rule:p

Arrrgh I'm in KCH currently and can get photos of lots of these - but have misplaced my microSD card adaptor so I can't get the photos onto my laptop!

Oh well, I'll see what's left when I get home :)

For my third find, I’d like to claim #29. Sign showing the Skyteam logo.

I saw this opposite The Ritz in London. Taken on Saturday 19th June 2010.
