Sweet!

Photos didn't have data I assume because I had to use some online program to make them smaller.

Chamomile tea photo taken 19/6/10

edit: a bit too small!

Find! (items 12, 40)

Well I've finally managed to get photos off my camera, and most of the shots I got I'm too late for!

But I've got the chamomile tea in the minibar shot, at LM in KL.

Sweet!

Both of those check out - thanks for the dates!

Well done, k_sheep.

Fantic125 and k_sheep - when did you take your photos (in the above 3 posts)? EXIF data for the photos you've submitted doesn't exist, so just need to check that you snapped each of these on a date after 14/06/2010.

If the date is OK, this find would be alright.

Once again, need to check the date, however there is a rule that says that a photo can only stand for exactly one find. Once the date is verified, you'll need to choose which item you want this photo to credit against (i.e. #19 or #23).

Once again - check date and it'll be all good.

Both of mine were taken yesterday (June 24) after I arrived in TPE on CX406. I can email you the photo's if you like (can't load the original photo's as they are too big). PM if you want me to.

I'll claim #19 thanks! (once verified of course)

'tis the 3rd time I've forgotten to take a photo of a Hawaiian pizza since the hunt started...

If this had started a few days prior to 14/6 I could have gotten a heap of them. No travel booked for me until August and it's not the same trying to get the pics whilst still at home.

Grrr.

:mrgreen::mrgreen:;)

Find #32, Entrance to the JL Sakura Lounge

This one is at Terminal 2 at TPE taken today, 26/6/10.

I'm sitting inside as I type this....:D

No EXIF data as I had to reduce the photo as it was too big to load. I have included a copy of my boarding pass though if that's any help!

Now I just need to wait for Monday for the new week to start......

Meloz

I have no idea how you convinced someone to assume that position for that photo, but well done!

I believe that's three finds for you meloz. Geez...the cap breakers are coming hard and fast this first fortnight.

If you haven't found something yet, get on board!

And to start off the new fortnight.......

Find #39, Piece of bone chinaware made by Noritake on none other than JAL flight JL018, from NRT to YVR, on 26/6/10 (op-up from discount economy to Business Class :D)!!

The cap is only raised to 4, which means that you can only find one more item (since you've already found 3). So you'll have to choose which one to credit his fortnight. Sorry!

Week 3 has started!

I'll update post #3 some time today, I hope.

This is the start of a new fortnight, which means the cap for finds has been raised by 1. So now every member can find at most 4 items. This includes any items found so far (so everyone who is a cap breaker can only find 1 more item. Sorry!)

It also means 4 points will be deducted for time attrition.

If you haven't participated in the hunt so far, get on board! New finders on the list attract more points.

Damn! I did read the rules, but obviously they didn't sink in. All the travel must have re-arranged my protons, neutrons and electrons.

I'll take the stairs thanks! :(

BTW - you're doing a fantastic job of this Anat01!

And this is good too! Well done, Must...Fly!, you're off the mark.

As they say in American Football - "it's good!" Good work Mal.

Week 3 has (already) started!

We've completed the first fortnight of the game, which means:
  • The find cap was increased by 1 to 4 items per member (in total)
  • A time attrition penalty was applied (-4 points per fortnight)

As of the start of week 3, 28 items have been found out of the 50, with a couple more coming in dawning the new week (incidentally by two cap breakers).

I've introduced "badges" as a way of tracking the cap breakers and which fortnights they have broken the cap. For those not in the cap breaker club, if you find enough items you can be one too, and get badges! For the confused or cynical, it's just my way of tracking which fortnights members have hit the find cap, and it's easier than saying 'week 1&2', 'week 3&4' etc..

The cap breaker's badge for Week 1 & 2 is the red Canberra badge. For Week 3 & 4, cap breakers will be awarded the green Melbourne badge. I don't have any fancy images of medals, but you can use your imagination... ;)

When I saw the words Red & Canberra the first thing that popped into my mind was....

I'm a bit surprised this hasn't already gone; it seemed like an easy one.
But I did get some funny looks.

Looks good here. Found!

Well done Sickeningthud! That's another new sleuth in the game and another find down.

From my last count on my tracking sheet, there are only 18 items out of 50 left to be found...

The AFF Scavenger Hunt II

I think I have number 18, which is a train going to an airport. The first train I took today, Sunday 4th July, happens to terminate at Manchester Airport. Luckily it said this on the inside and outside of the train.

I think munitalP tried to get this with an out of date photo so unless I missed anyone else, it should still be free.
