From recollection it needs to be gate 42 exactly, if the sign says 42A or 42B it wont qualify.

In preparation for the update finally due (and includes 2 weeks), all of the following are good finds for Week 7 of the game.

As it’s now Monday I would like to resubmit posts 106 and 107 for find #35: Four pints of Guinness (two shots required - one before (filled) and one after (empty)).

I took this photo last Friday night at Pog Mahónes in Queenstown. The pints were NZD$4 each, so there were more than 4 at one point.

There are two cap breakers so far this fortnight that ends this week: samh004 and Fantic125.

It's now Week 8 of the game.

Post #3 has been updated!

Finally, after missing a week in between, post #3 has been updated.

Week 8 has started. Next week will be the start of a new fortnight, which means cap is increased (new cap next week will be 7) but attrition penalty applies.

There has been no finds this week! Keep in mind that a random item is deleted from the list and 10 points are deducted if a week passes without any item being found.

There are only 7 items left to be found. We're getting close to the end of the hunt! I've already started thinking (and noting down) items for AFF Scavenger Hunt III. If anyone has ideas about changes to the rules, the system etc., feel free to post and let me know (a new thread isn't warranted for this).

Could I humbly suggest that if you consistantly achieve the cap over the first 3 fortnights, then the cap breaker can have a bonus find added into week 6 or 8? (Insert support from samh004 here...)

BTW, thanks for doing the Scavenger Hunt anat01, it has made my flying time much more interesting!

Also BTW; I walked past an Aeroflot plane last night at HKG and knew it was on the list but thought it had already gone. I realised this morning that it was the African Flag carrier that had gone, not the Aeroflot...

Week #8: Nothing has been found yet!

This is just a reminder to everyone that not a single item has been found for Week 8 as of yet.

If no item in the remaining 7 is found before the end of Sunday 08 August, then a random item from the 7 remaining will be purged from the list. The score will also be reduced by 10 points.

See post #3 for details of the items remaining (stuff that isn't highlighted blue). New members to the game are of course welcome to submit a find!


For the pedants and in case you're wondering how I will determine the random item (in case you think "random" = how they pick the two "random" answers to remove from using a 50:50 lifeline in Millionaire), simply I'll just use a random number generator (pedants: a pseudo-random number generator) to give a number n between 1 and 7. Thereafter, the nth item (when ranked by item number and in ascending order) will be removed from the list.

Post #3 has been updated.

This week marks the start of a new fortnight, so the find cap has been raised to 7 items per member now. As you can see, one member has already taken full advantage of the additional 1 item space...

No one found any items last week. Therefore, in accordance with the rules, the following randomly selected item has been removed from the list and moved to purgatory:

In addition, 10 points have been deducted from the score.

That leaves only 5 items left to be found.
