Not sure NSW Health necessarily agree fully.
The first case was known on 16/6 and the West Hoxton party was 2 or 3 days later. Its been acknowledged that was the superspreader event most misunderstood.
Gladys told NSW to continue holding all events (18 June) as the 'outbreak is under control'.

Because they lied.
No. Misleading information given by Brad Hazzard (just like about the Limo driver not following requirements - all untrue, as Police report complimented him for going beyond the requirements., or the twin removalists being told they were CV+ the day before they left Sydney etc etc).
30 adults and over a dozen children. You cannot vaccinate children, so Brad mentioned number of adults not total number of people attending. Otherwise would not be such a good sound bite - "24 out of 36 unvaccinated people have tested positive and none of the 6 fully vaccinated."
When was the last time Brad Hazzard mentioned it at the briefing? No, not June 29th, that is when it appeared last (that I found) in the daily reporting on the website.
NSW Health June 29th
More than 40 people attended this birthday party. It was initially believed about 30 people had attended, but this number increased following further investigations
and contact tracing.
Further investigations by the media that is, which may account for the addition of & 'contact tracing'. The 30 figure remained in use for some media until the story dropped out of the news.
Also of note in the same NSW Health report - spreading from Bondi Westfield (location named a few days later though). Subsequently he was named (quietly) as believed to be the first to carry CV into Fairfield.
The source of two cases reported in today’s numbers are under investigation. The first case is a man in his 40s from Sydney’s south west, who has been working in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The second case works as a member of the Out of School Hours service at Bellevue Hill Public School.
And wasn't it a person who illegally attended this gathering who took Delta back to Melbourne with him.
No. The father did everything required and acted in full accordance with the law despite how portrayed in NSW 11am briefings. Even praised by Victoria for 'doing the right thing without delay'.
Note though that he (reportedly) was still to be contacted by NSW's Contact tracing team.
He was one of about 30 guests at a birthday party at his daughter's house in West Hoxton on Saturday night. (19 June)
"My understanding at this point is that he's not yet being contacted by NSW's contact tracing team," Victoria's Covid commander Jeroen Weimar told reporters on Thursday afternoon. (June 24th)
"The reasons for that we'll work through in the coming hours."
More than 12 people at the event have now become infected, including the Melbourne father, who caught a return flight from Sydney Airport on Sunday afternoon.
Late on Tuesday evening, he started to feel unwell and was tested on Wednesday.
Health Minister Martin Foley said there was no suggestion the man breached any permit regulations, as West Hoxton was classed a green zone over the weekend.
It is unclear whether he is partially or fully vaccinated, though officials praised the man for immediately coming forward for testing.

Why is it that it is widely reported that you can go asymptomatic the entire time in some cases (fully vaccinated for example), or for a few days - so
why is this still the messaging:
People who were in Westfield Bondi Junction on these days and do not have symptoms and have not been at the specific exposure venues at the listed times do not need to isolate.
That was the messaging back in late June & is still the messaging today.
