By the sounds of it, you do.
Please know, I certainly do. But most will not I accept that. Out of sight out of mind. On we go!

Put this on the virus thread, but I think not everyone is watching the virus thread.
Chief medical officer Paul Kelly has reiterated the PM and Health Minister's words and said that the Covid-19 vaccine "is hope" for Australia.
Of the nearly 6000 cases in NSW, only one per cent were fully vaccinated.
"That is 99 per cent of the cases we have seen have not been vaccinated. Vaccination is the key. That's our hope," Professor Kelly said.
"Three per cent were partially vaccinated and four per cent were diagnosed within three weeks of receiving a single vaccination.
"The key message here is go and get vaccinated particularly if you're in the older age group but, as Minister Wyatt has mentioned, but everyone. Vaccination is available. Right now. In many places very close to you.
"As importantly, no fully vaccinated cases have required admission to ICU. That severe end of the spectrum, we have talked about the protection two vaccinations gives against severe illness, not a single person in ICU has been vaccinated and there's only been one death, unfortunately, the gentleman aged 91 years was fully vaccinated.
"I believe there might have been two now, but there's very few of the cases that have been diagnosed have been fully vaccinated and died.
"So it is a protection. It is hope. It's our way out of this crisis. Please do not hesitate and go and get vaccinated. Make that appointment today."

If you don't care what he thinks - at least look at the facts he is relaying.......I know you've done your bit of graceful nudging/gentle persuasion of family friend acquaintances on the vaccine front......perhaps no new news, but at least its actual dataWho actually cares what he thinks though.
Clearly the state CHO's (with the exception of VIC and NSW) don't engage with him. The SA CHO seems to barely understand him. The QLD CHO ignores him.
The state premiers certainly are not listening to him either. What is even the point of having his role? We should just fire him, save the money and buy some more vaccines or something.

Incorrect. By mid 2022 possiby, the Covax half million Pfizer arrived weeks before the total of 500,000 doses of AZ donations shipped to the Pacific was reached. All of these AZ had short-dated expiry as most were December/January batches.Well that’s old news - they announced ages ago they were getting 500,000 doses of Pfizer from Covax and immediately gave millions of AZ to Fiji and Indonesia.
Pathetic - as was quoted late last week one large area in far West NSW 1st doses at 4%.Not sure if this is the entire Aboriginal community health district or how they ascertained the population
Indigenous Australia has a first dose vaccine rate of 30 per cent
Federal Indigenous Minister Ken Wyatt says he is pleased with the vaccine rates among Australia's Indigenous communities.
He said 169,000 have had their first dose, 30 per cent of eligible recipients, as 69,000 have had their second dose.
"Our leadership has been very strong at every level where there is a concern and they have not waited for governments to tell them," he said.
"They have, of their own initiative, said, 'We want to protect our elders'.
"The young ones are joining in by saying, 'we need to keep our knowledge keepers'.
"The strength of our community in all of these initiatives has been tremendous."
The Navajo Nation had huge death rates. The outback communities didn’t feel the need to get vaccinated as they were remote and safe. A friend has been in constant arguments with relatives who saw no need to bother getting vaccinated.Pathetic - as was quoted late last week one large area in far West NSW 1st doses at 4%.
Compare this to what happened with 1st nation's people in the US. The figures for native Americans refer to fully vaccinated, not just 1st dose.
That data — collected by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — suggest that Native Americans are 24% more likely than whites to be fully vaccinated, 31% more likely than Latinos, 64% more likely than African Americans and 11% more likely than Asian Americans.Despite obstacles, Native Americans have the nation's highest COVID-19 vaccination rate
Native Americans often live far from healthcare facilities and distrust federal authorities. Still, they're getting vaccinated against COVID-19.www.latimes.com
Data from several states and counties offer supporting evidence. In Alaska, for example, Native Americans make up 15% of the population but as of April accounted for 22% of vaccine recipients.
Her own tribe, the Navajo Nation, the largest in the country, reports that more than 70% of its members over 12 who live on the reservation are fully vaccinated — well above the rate of 59% for the country as a whole.
Native Americans often live far from healthcare facilities. They face some of the worst poverty in the nation. And distrust of federal authorities runs deep.

Similar circumstance & vastly different result.
Yet the Federal Govt thinks it has done well with 30% having their 1st dose. Just like Disability Care residents were a priority, so were Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders supposed to be, not Priority 1A though.
If you read the actual media release (link I posted) that the ABC article is based on you will see that they are to be sent 'some time this year' but later states as part of total to be donated by mid 2022. As of latest information from the department - they have not been sent. Perhaps there's been additional demand for AZ withinn Australia since then? Heard much about Indonesia on the Australian media since then?Australia to send 2.5 million AstraZeneca vaccine doses to Indonesia and offers emergency aid as COVID-19 crisis deepens
Australia will dip into its domestic vaccine stockpile and rush medical supplies to Indonesia as the country grapples with a devastating surge in COVID-19 cases.www.abc.net.au
The rate of infections of Indigenous Americans was horrendous and many of them died. Vastly under reportedPathetic - as was quoted late last week one large area in far West NSW 1st doses at 4%.

Given they were in a priority list and trumpeted as such by our PM this vaccination rate is pathetic, as is anyone who tries to persuade it us it is tremendous. Though I'm sure some rusted on supporters on this thread will try and convince us otherwise. Not sure if this is the entire Aboriginal community health district or how they ascertained the population
