The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes

Hi All,

Has anyone else had this problem before? I have had it for 2 years in a row, where I start each status year with a handicap of -60 status credits.... I've emailed/called Qantas before, and it hasn't yet been fixed...View attachment 207402
Haven’t seen that before! Do you retain at 1200 or does it actually require 1260?

Not sure to be honest - last year I earned 2,180 Status Credits, and they deducted 2,240. I have also noticed with the 500SC bonus points it miscalculates that too, saying I need 560 (but it does award it at 500).

Happened to me last year.

During last year's DSC offer, I booked BNE-MEL-ASP-AYQ and return for April 2019. MEL-ASP and ASP-MEL were subsequently cancelled, and Mrs DMar & I flew via SYD instead. Eventually called up and applied for ORC (moreso for Mrs DMar than I), by which time my membership year had rolled over on April 30. ORC + DSC was too much for the call centre to deal with, and they made an absolute hash of it, so I ended up on -70 to start the year.

After multiple frustrating calls and online chats, I gave up. Some time in September, without warning, someone eventually figured it out and I got my 70 SCs back. Ironically, the transaction description was 'Expired Status Credits'.

Went to qantas.com this morning. I think the CEO is taking the proverbial now...

I noticed a couple of weeks back when making a booking I was going to be redirected the AU site and charged in AUD which I thought was odd. I seem to have been reloacted to the US and need to change back to the AU site each time I log.

Was it because of your VPN?

Using website in Chrome I was unable to check in for my flight tommorow but could via the app on my phone.

I cant seem to request an upgrade for my return flight via either the webiste or mobile app.

And the latest app update doest work on my Samsung Tablet, crashes upon loading, seems they didnt test it properly as app store is full of complaints about not working on android tablets.

Since this thread has made a resurgence, I may as well throw my 2c in: it would be great if Qantas could fix the 'exit' button in MMB. It has been broken for ages now.

This is a good one, gets me all the time. This reminds of another one that irks me quite a bit - the disappearing multi-city tool search button. The number of times I've clicked on my multi-city tool bookmark, input all the routes and dates, and then seen the dreaded "Login & search" button....

For anyone who hasn't come across this, the button does log you in but doesn't actually search, and then conveniently disappears so there is no search button at all. The only way to move forward is reloading the page, which clears out all the routes & dates... ARGH

Yep. Have seen that a number of times. Infuriating.
