Today it was time to move house.Talk about chalk and cheese. No cherubs on the ceiling. There is only a back door.You come in through the laundry.On one side is the second bathroom with a great shower.

I wasn't talking about what was in the pantry ! Double shower with a power hand nozzle !!! last time we had a shower like that was in a hotel in Singapore and it had about 20 high powered sprays, it felt like being hosed down by a fire engine

Back to this report.have been busy doing my tax.
So the night before moving and the night of the move I ate out.The night before at the King of Kebabs in Charles street.Run by an Afghan family.I had the lamb Iskender.Unfortunately the did not have any baklava which gets good reviews. the lamb was tender and tasty. I had the chilli sauce.

On the night of the move I went to Reel Fish and chips at the Seaport.Not too bad I had the Reel fish basket.

Nothing overcoooked and tasty.
Good views of the seaport and over the river to Trevallyn and my new digs.

After all the rain the South Esk river was really flowing through the Gorge.The tourist boat was going with the flow.

The next day was a public holiday- Recreation Day.But it was also the day I was picking up mrsdrron who was arriving on the first QF BNE-LST flight.

As usual on the first day she is here it was dinner at Kosaten. Basically our favourite restaurant.

The next night we tried Monsoon.It is over the road from Princes Park.

A nice Moores hill pinot gris.

Started well with the duck pancakes and spring rolls.

The honey glazed prawns were nice.

But the pad Thai had chilli in it so no good for mrsdrron.

After dinner we went for a drive.Ended up at the Cataract gorge car park where a peacock was putting on a show for his partner.Unfortunately it had ended when I got my phone out.

The night views from the new digs are nice.

As I am here for 3 months some veggies were planted -tomatoes,perennial spinach,onions and cos lettuce.

In the park over the road is a plover family with 3 young ones.On the first morning mum swooped me as plovers do.However since then mum and I have become friends and no longer tells the young to flee.

Another visit to the Vietnamese restaurant at Riverside. Again started with the scallops and a rice paper roll.

Mrsdrron had the beef salad.

I had the seafood curry.The base was just like a laksa base.Next time i might ask to add some noodles and make it a laksa.Seafood was very good.

We both finished with a creme caramel.

The drove to the other end of our street which overlooks Cataract Gorge.
