A while back but thought I would mention it. OP at gate SYD-LAX on VA1 (4/04/14) on the Y+ to J seat 1C. No OP on the return.
Glad we broke the drought for you Reload, hope it keeps coming!!! :mrgreen:Something has happened, and I'm stuffed if I know what it was but got another Y to J upgrade BNE/MEL so this by fourth upgrade since the HKG get together, whatever it was that has caused this I hope to god it keeps happening!!!!
So I've gone from 1 in 100 to 1 In 22, awesome ratio trend![]()
Well the good times just keep rolling along. Upgrade to 1A on QF35 today from the cheapest nastiest Brazil fare. Way to go QF
Also spotted another AFF'er in the F lounge this morning but I'm stuffed if I can remember his name, I think I need another drink.....
Edit: crisis averted, we are on the same flight, fingers crossed for his op-up.
Smiles to Cathay Pacific.:mrgreen: Mrs WF(no status) and I, suspecting that without the CX status added to the AA, things would have been different.
PEY-->J LAX-HKG 16 Oct
PEY-->J HKG-PER 19 Oct
seats for sale in PEY a couple of days before flights. W cabin on both flights went out full.
Oh yes, that was after 8 (in a row) successful two party sticker upgrades on AA over a four week period.
Happy wandering

Had an CX op-up to J from PE on the 7th October DXB-HKG (8 hour flight), had no status attached as was crediting to BA which I'm just blue.
QF 671 MEL-ADL on Wednesday 19th OP UP from Y to J. Full flight and with my Boss traveling with me he also got upgraded as a gold member.
When I first looked at your post I thought you meant you'd got your 19th OP UP & I thought gee that's not bad.![]()
Was your boss in the same pnr as you?
If Y was not full. does this qualify as an op-up? Has Qantas started to be a bit more generous with upgrades when J seats are available?Received op-up at gate this afternoon MEL-ADL. Y not completely full but I am super grateful to get the surprised beep. Thanks, Qantas!
