I love this - the old school black out under the windscreen .......mistake to paint the underside grey but ...it should of been left bare.
Any body know why a reason (eg technical etc) they wouldn't have done that ..... ???

The grey painters union were threatening industrial action and after closed door talks that ran into the night it was decided that a coat of grey paint was both simple and fair.

The decision was endorsed by the marketing department who said it could be pitched to customers as an enhancement.

I knew there would be a sound valid / technical / ecologically sound / ethical explanation - I just didn't expect to get it so quickly - at least we can all get some sleep now - Outstanding ....... cheers!

I thought the QF IT department entered the wrong colour code when ordering the paint job.

I can't tell if you're serious or taking the p*ss JessicaTam. I guess the fact that it sounds plausible is a sign that nothing would surprise me with QF anymore.

Actually I think the grey paint is camouflage, the RAAF planes use it. The grey merges into the clouds and so the bad guys can't take aim.

.....or for a 'lost in translation' moment:

"is an engineer, hairy and aviator French born on 7 December 1883 in Charmes in the Vosges and died on 25 May 1932 in Veroli in Italy, of a suites accident. It is the first to put a device on the island of Reunion 26 November 1929 1 and then became the first aviator to link France to Madagascar plane."
