Being dynamic, the current lowest whY fares are $1200 to $1300 each way which is translating to 104,000 pts plus $198 each way. I couldn’t see any CRs in any class….26k QFF points won't get you very far, and the "?new Classic+ reward options are goung to be around, but at a substantial increase on the points requirement unfortunately.
In a very quick search for January, I see SYD-SCL for 204k points as a C+ reward (in economy) vs 79k for a CR reward involving 3 flights via LAX and Lima.
Nothing at all! We lucked in with some J CRs back in Feb/Mar but they appeared to have been pulled on that route entirely. Also complicated by the block codeshare arrangement with LA.Business? That's a whole other story tbh.
Yep. VA pts with UA via Nth Am and down or just pay cash during a QF Sale.I'm not sure this is achieveable with such a low balance - even accounting for CC earn.
If it were me, I would consider looking at using the VA points stash on United over to say Houston or an easylt coast gateway and potentially a QF reward on LA from tgen. UA may even get you closer in eg GRU or GIG. AC may also be an option but that is a fair diversion north imo.
I did this also but it pays to check the cash fare v points.I'd consider QF points pointially for intra South America if required(and available)
