The QFF CEO event thread (and AFF associated interactions)

"P1 has same lounge access as WP, so no change to current access rules."
So Qf are determined not to return to "anytime access" Oh well, Dj provide this...
"Any time access asked and answered. QFF stands by decision to remove, ppl on other carriers were taking advantage"
the shortsightedness remains. To get to P1, you have to "Tully: P1's live in our aircraft and lounges.", so how often do you get to travel on other airlines????

Looks like, to me, the effective QF top tiers will become:

CL - Chairman of the board with QF contacts
WP1 - CEO / Managing Director with QF flying contracts
WP - Some of above who can't earn the WP1 SCs and the troops who can earn the WP SCs.
SG - The troops who can't earn the WP SCs.

I hope you enjoyed your lunch and are still enjoying a few glasses of red.

I have some selfish questions:

Initial P1 qualification based on 1 dec 10 to 30 sep 11. Then it goes on your membership year.

Will the initial P1 qualification requirement will be pro-rated down to take account of the 10 month (vs 12 month) qualification period.

And in case it was missed you need 3600sc and 2700 on QF codes (not metal)

Will they include the SCs earned throught this years double SCs promo in the count? They do for normal QFF qualification purposes - if they don't here, what, really, is their purpose (other than to push through some extra loyalty bonuses)?

Fingers crossed...

If the qual period is based on 01DEC10 to 30SEP11 will they still want 3600SCs or will it be slightly less seeing it's not a full year. For that period I raked up 3035 status credits - my status membship year expires 30NOV11 by which time I will have collected over 3850 - would be nice to get P1....

Sorry for the confusion, blame the Shiraz. Based on 1 nov 10 to 31 oct 11 .. So 12 months.

So really this seem to be just a marketing exercise as, based on the comments on here and on the Twitter feed, it seems that everything was already locked in before the lunch and QF doesn’t seem to be all that interested in opinions from the invited AFF members. I might have mis-read the invitation but it seemed originally to be more about listening to the feedback of top-tier frequent flyers. Instead it seems to have really been about a viral marketing campaign and soft launch.

Nov,1 2010-Oct 30, 2011, thats good enough for me,approx 3800SC, all QF metal

Last twelve months I'm at 10k plus  How big is the plus?

Congratulations to the both of you but are you happy /ecstatic with the extra benefits you will now be getting as P1:?:

Got to say that what has been reported is somewhat underwhelming, I was close to 3000 SC last year through domestic only flying and with the changes to PG levels lost the drive to go beyond WP requal, nothing has changed that today I am afraid, at least for me.

I see this as QF creating a new tier between CL and WP. A tier for their corp clients who probably feel they need to be highlighted by QF for their needs as CEOs / Managing Directors. Note the tweet comment about the business owner earning SCs for the flying of their troops? Perfect way to ensure the boss has a personal interest in directing all the flying of his troops to QF and away from VA. Especially the flying of those troops that have taken VA WP and SG status matches. Smart move on the part of QF. Gotta give them that.

Yeah I get that. My point was about the lunch itself. I read the original invitation as a sign of customer engagement but it *seems* (and I wasn’t there, so it’s just how it reads online) as more of a promotional exercise and soft launch.
