But the H is missing.
But things certainly have changed.20 years ago when i came to QLD if driving at the speed limit you passed the majority of traffic. Now at the limit they pass you.
It's all those pesky southerners migrating ...

And a report on the Hyundai Ix35 highlander.I am liking it.Comfortable, steers well, very tight turning circle, ride not as good as the old Maxima but 80KM on Sunshine coast roads then 220 km driving up to Hervey Bay this morning and fuel consumption 6.4 L/100Km.
Speaking of cars, (does that mean I am on topic?) I am thinking of a diesel auto NT Pajero GLS/X. Has anyone any experience with them? Most of my travelling is long country kays with a small amount of intense offroad work from time to time.

Gee, you can't have been around when my mate and I decided to do the ton in his parent's Charade on the way back from Caloundra, ;) or indeed driven around kedron park, calseldine or hendra/ascot way much, 20 years ago.

If you're going to do real off road work, I'd think a manual might be better. Autos are great on the road but do lead to a bit of lead foot-ism on long country stretches. We used to get auto Patrols from the pool vehicles for bush trips, they just weren't right, really. Having said that I've never driven an auto pajero.

My sons are totally impressed with the SQ Changi business class lounge where you get an ice cold gass out of a self service glass doored fridge and the fill it up with Tiger beer. They have never been beer drinkers but they love Icy cold Tiger.

Puts the QF international Business lounge to shame IMHO :)....although I haven't been here for a little while;)

I do enjoy that lounge. It may in part explain some of my flying patterns :p

Now, If only one could book QF ex-AU and SQ ex-SIN easily, and ticket both flights in AUD from AU merchants on respective high-earning credit cards :p

autos are great going up hill
they're a bit fast going down hills but then im into steep high country tracks!

probably a better pick unless you do lots!

Flashware be kind to your tail bone (coxis) and dump those Hilton slippers by the front door. I heard that it can be quite painful if you break that bone so butt sliding should be off the agenda in your new home.

Yeah it's a really subjective choice. The track can't be that steep if you don't need low range first gear. ;)

I would like to go back to an auto as it has been a few cars since I have had one. The electronics these days actually make the autos better in the bush than most manuals - and more fuel efficient. The off road stuff is not going to be super hard core.

I somehow feel safe in that my licence is only a class CA now.

That said, I'm still stuffed if I decide to drive in Africa, South America, most of Asia and about half of Europe.

Had a look in M&S today but the style they had that I liked, had a similar sole! Will have to find something online methinks, not braving the cold again. Was snowing this morning (again)

My dad broke his coccyx many years ago, not a pleasant experience.
