The totally off-topic thread

I've heard of people operating in tropical locations, snorkel and all that, who might often get stuck in a creek crossing. To prevent the car being washed away they would open the doors and sink the car. Still runs fine once out of the creek, but maybe not with fancy electronics.

A seemingly sensible action compared to something I've done.

Do tell…
Surely couldn't compare to this incredible display of stupidity (bordering on criminal given the kid in the vehicle):

Economy is more than fine for me.

I wish I could just book business class but I keep thinking to myself why book an Oneworld award in business when you can book 2 Oneworld awards in economy? I know I am greedy but in my experience 9 times out of 10 the flight experience is forgotten where as the destination remains etched in memory for a lifetime. Assuming that memory was not erased accidentally by drinking too much alcohol....

Simple solution I've found to that - don't drink  You can have fun without it!

That guy was a complete nob. He had absolute no vision. If I was one of those cops I would have charged/fined him for dangerous driving or whatever it's properly called.

Endanger life by Dangerous Driving. A criminal offence as opposed to the Road Traffic Act. ;)

Not wanting to create a new thread and it is on topic but..

Flying SIN-HKT arriving at 19:40 and departing HKT-PER at 22:45... is it enough time? Separate bookings so would not be protected...

Thoughts?

For those that get Channel 9 Brisbane news (with Melissa Downes), you may want to watch (I think it will be) Monday's bulletin. There will be a story on a famous Brisbane sportsman (now personality) who has been diagnosed with a Malignant Melanoma. Seems that Ch9 wanted some filler from a survivor, so Cancer Council put them onto me. You'll see me slathering Cancer Council suncreen on my daughter, saying goodbye as she "goes off to school", "working" on my laptop and be interviewed - probably a 10 to 15 second grab. Will also be interview with a radiation oncologist in the story. Many thanks to Kath (producer) and Carlo (cameraman) who came to my home this morning - wrap done in 45 mins.

Was given a J amenity kit by the CSA last night on QF1, got to say it is a bit of a let down (have not done J internationally for a while with QF). Hopefully have a Thai F flight next week which features Tumi kit, looking forward to that!
