I was debating whether to post this article or not. First reaction when I saw the headline was, "Are you serious?" As in who studies this stuff, makes a paper out of it, then decides to actually think this sh**e deserves press time? (Oh wait, we can easily answer the last question)

Farting on aircraft: Smelly but better out than in, say gastroenterologists | News.com.au

Please don't proceed if you have a weak stomach, or just ate / about to eat.

I think they blow this problem out of all proportion.
Certainly also miss a few categories such as the SBDs,the KABD.or the barking spiders variation of flatulence.
A whole lot of hot air re nothing.
Come to think of it very similiar to an election campaign.

Hilarious, thanks anat0l

"Charcoal-lined undies as well, sir, madam? We prefer you not to hold on…" when you get your F/J pyjamas.

The specialists did not recommend setting farts alight, either on land or in a plane, despite its proven ability to reduce odour.
Very sensible!

I guess if this bloke sat next to you life would be interesting to say the least.

Le Pétomane (pron.: /ləˈpɛtəmn/, French pronunciation: [ləpetɔˈman]) was the stage name of the French flatulist (professional farter) and entertainer Joseph Pujol (June 1, 1857–1945). He was famous for his remarkable control of the abdominal muscles, which enabled him to seemingly fart at will

Would it be wrong to say he blew me away? ;)

Well..... A romantic night for the Boss tonight. My first Valentines Day in England..... So I have booked the entire restaurant for the 2 of us. Only a small restaurant in Dorset, but I thought it would make for a special dinner. "20 small tastes of the New Forest" is the theme created by the chef. We've eaten there before and we both love it.

We were supposed to go to Paris, but we are going in a couple of weeks so decided to stay in England.

Sounds like a wonderful evening.

I was alone as per usual and unfortunately the arthritis in the wrist was playing up a bit.

whoa

If you don't mind me asking how tall are you markis10? I have my first 3K flight booked in a few weeks...

186cm and my bottom was firmly wedged in the base of the seat, it was row 30 and a short flight so OK, but longer and would be paying the extra.

I've got another 8cm or so on you height wise...have a KUL-SIN to fly so it's quick but I might have to spring for the exit row regardless after looking at that photo...

Still need to book SIN-KUL...MH is available for a cheaper price than 3K+Plus bundle, so I think I will swallow the lack of SC and 1,000 points for a bit of comfort (and also to give MH a try)

According to a quick check, MH operate their 737-800 aircraft on KUL/SIN. Some in the timetable are marked as EQV, so perhaps they sub in their 737-400s as well.

Y has 30" pitch on MH 738s. If the service on the short flight is anything like domestic, in Y you'll probably get a choice of juices and a packet of fried peanuts (which are tasty but definitely unhealthy!)

Finally starting to rack up some gigs again. Last year was a writeoff due to a few things that happened, so making up for it this year. So far Smashing Pumpkins (@ Wembley Arena) and Darwin Deez (@ O2 Shepherds Bush). Will be interesting to see how much of the old stuff SP play....

I did the reverse today in Row 30, had the row to my self which helped. Did I miss something, why no SC with MH??

O class fare, no way I'm paying extra for a proper earning bucket either.

Will only need 40SC before end of September with current bookings to requal PS, easily done with a return red e-deal to MEL or something.

If you have the time in KUL keep an eye on their domestic J specials, I am heading to LGK tomorrow in J for $100 each way, an easy 80 SC.

wow, nice

I wish I did but unfortunately no spare time, at all. In late Thursday, out lunchtime Monday. F1 in between!

$1.25 per SC. ...domestic MH J fares may replace Y/Kupps ;)

Even better considering the duty free offers at LGK will probably pay for the flight as I build up the scotch collection, although the Westin is not cheap compared to KUL hotels. Then I have a $600 J reward flight home thanks to life miles.

KL is a bit odd with hotels though, with the Le Meridian pretty much a conjoined twin to the Hilton with both sharing the pool and slide!
