If we can identify all the single AFFers....never mind! There are other websites for that!! My dear +1 is working tonite, and in her previous life, worked in a florist shop, and has made me promise NEVER to buy flowers, esp. on Valentiine's Day, for her due to the rip off prices charged!!!!! Gee, I love her....she will be getting a delayed Valentine's Day gift next w/e when we head to LDH for 3 nites!

Easy for me, we met on the 18th , [-]CD[/-] VD is just a heads up;)

Very romantic in Bundaberg tonight with all reasonable restaurants booked out, even Sizzler and the leagues clubs with lines out the door so ended up having chucky duck. With tens of thousands of bats flying overhead. And of course no hot water due to no gas supply.

Cold Showers and Valentines Day, perfect match??

Well..... A romantic night for the Boss tonight. My first Valentines Day in England..... So I have booked the entire restaurant for the 2 of us. Only a small restaurant in Dorset, but I thought it would make for a special dinner. "20 small tastes of the New Forest" is the theme created by the chef. We've eaten there before and we both love it.

We were supposed to go to Paris, but we are going in a couple of weeks so decided to stay in England.

I wondered where you would end up (I remember you asked for suggestions on Twitter)

Enjoy

Was given a J amenity kit by the CSA last night on QF1, got to say it is a bit of a let down (have not done J internationally for a while with QF). Hopefully have a Thai F flight next week which features Tumi kit, looking forward to that!

Agreed: Quite an unimpressive product.. Though the SQ one is even more so.. I know of many airlines that provide such nice simple appreciative gifts for the premium pax.
The TG Tumi kit should be a treat. :D

That certainly trumps the local 'fox & hound" pub with the 'special edition" Valentine fare..
I'm sure it shall be enjoyed in bossreggie style.. Well done :D

Funnily enough there is a 'Fox & Hound' on the High Street where I live

I used to frequent many of those famous & less so 'haunts" during my indentured time in London, as well as I can recall, the well worn way back home after a few too many enjoyable pints. :D

Happy valentine's day AFF

hope you spend it with that special someone

or if, like me, you don't have a special someone, enjoy the fact that you don't have to think about what to do or buy!!

I went on a plane, which is unusual for me...best way to escape the valentines blues.

Yep great V day,

Miss 4.5 is in our bed tonight.

No special v day bit for me

Quiet one for us. Card exchanged this morning and the kids got her a card and chocolates.

Mrs LW went to a Community Meeting tonight as she is the Treasurer. Kids in bed by 7.30, heated up dinner and watched MKR with a beer.

Then I go to SYD tomorrow until Sunday PM.

Nothing too special, just another day.

Well my gift was "The Killing" series 2. Something we'll both enjoy even if I have to read the whole thing. ;)

That's fantastic.

And so great to hear from you again bossreggie. :)

I have to admit "20 small tastes of the New Forest" almost makes me think Heston Blumenthal, but I know it would not. Not sure why...

It is lovely to hear how some of you spent Valentines day.

Personally I am not really a fan of Valentines Day, but sent a few SMSes late in the day to remind people I still have a pulse.

I recieved two unprompted Valentines Day wishes, one from my ex-wife who is about to be remarried in ~6 weeks, and one from a work colleague which I am sure was in jest.

I was debating whether to post this article or not. First reaction when I saw the headline was, "Are you serious?" As in who studies this stuff, makes a paper out of it, then decides to actually think this sh**e deserves press time? (Oh wait, we can easily answer the last question)

So true. For me Valentines Day is a little overrated. It is not as if Christmas, New Year, birthdays, anniversaries and name days are not enough already....

Yes, it was nice to read some of the activities - not a big fan either as it is TheEmus' anniversary tomorrow.
