On a nice new Mercedes bus from Kusadasi to Izmir. Just over an hour to get there and have PTV, WiFi, games, movies, music, TV etc. AND an in seat tea/coffee and snack service.. all for 10TL. That's just under 4 quid. They look to be running Android on the PTV's.

Oh and the seat pitch is better than BA Club Europe

It does indeed! Even included a connection to the train station right next to our hotel. Not bad!

simongr, sorry to hear about your dog - just catching up with this thread. As another dog lover (with 2 currently, 14+ and 6), I am expecting to lose my wife's dog at some stage and that will be like using a child.

Baroness Thatcher - a polarising figure there. But overall I think she did more good...and wasn't she a tough nut.

Plenty of discussion in local newspapers about how the funeral will cost 10 million pounds, but really who gives a toss? The recent royal wedding probably cost 3 or 4x that.

Leaders from all over the World are going to turn up. They will need hotel suites, rooms for staff. food, jet fuel etc. I think they will get their money back.

And I agree...who gives a toss. She restored British pride after the Falklands victory.

Most unusual experience last night. Had been to indoor beach volleyball and took 6 y.o. daughter so she could play with a schoolfriend. We both came home with sand everywhere so I to shower. I was washing my hair, positioned slightly off left of centre and suddenly my elbow (with some downforce) comes into contact with the ceramic soap holder which shears off and breaks into quite a few sharp pieces. Lucky my daughter was standing in the opposite corner. Looks like a repair job for my father-in-law
