Don't know what mum has for dinner tonight and won't know until I get home, which is probably 8.30pm (BNE time) :( I'm hazarding a guess at fish....

Speaking of food, check this out. This is a "refreshment" I had in J class on a MEL-CBR award flight after AFF Gather #1 in MEL (time of day was ~1600h). Now except for the Manna from Heaven cream biscuit thing and possibly that the chicken should be ham, you can't tell me that so looks like something you could make at the QP!

Just got back from a day trip to Melbourne (approx 2.5-3 hr each way) and walked into Roast Pork :!: :D :D :D :D

I had roast pork on rice for dinz. Though it's from the little Chinese hole in the wall outside uni rather than a nice home cooked meal. At least it ain't Maccas or HJs. *goes away to ponder the correlation between exams and unhealthy eating*

drron,

Are you suggesting there is an alternate line of thought :?:

Dinz? I must admit I have never heard this word used before. Is it an abbreviation? If it is referring to dinner there are only 2 more letters to type! Can the English language get any worse?

The alternative version of the same word is actually longer than 'dinner.' :p

Then we could assume it was a driving trip... how does the new eastern thingie help the travel time into the city ?

I'm hazarding a guess at fish....

Guess was wrong - dinner was Asian stir fry with deep fried tofu, pork, capsicum, carrot and celery, served with fried rice. (Of course, being an Asian family, rice is the centre of almost every meal.)

The biggest time saver for straitman would be the opening of the Pakenham bypass earlier this year. We have noticed a significant improvement since the bypass opened, with the trip Oakleigh - Sale now a tick over 2 hours.

It can, it will, it'll regress....
