Yes, very sad, and a well like driver who was a good guy as well as excellent driver.

And some call him shrek.

He also has the nickname "Boof".

There is a thread somewhere here ... That I can't find ... About the lowest number of points earnt for a flight sector.

I think my LHR-LBA BA flight... Crediting a whopping 44 QFF points must be up there...

Got my Virgin silver letter in the mail today.

A general thank you to all on AFF...now PS on both VA and QF, never thought I would get anywhere near PS on one airline let alone both domestic ones.

Now to try and get gold, eh? Only if a double SC comes my way, I think :)

Odd how many people are sick from alcohol on the flights.
;Twas my girlfriend, on landing. Her motion sickness seems to be getting worse, as it was a decent landing into KLIA. Flight was a little bumpy but nothing too special, and she had 1 glass of Dom about 9 hours prior.

Not sure if they water it down or if it is because you walk/move very little on a flight, but after about 9-10 glasses of Dom I didn't feel any different. Thought I should be drunk, however, and stopped drinking.

Related- MH A380 F is pretty decent. I wouldn't pay cash for it anytime soon, but I think I would pay for the J seats (not that I've seen them...).

LAX-SAN discount economy on a BA codeshare would give 27 points and 10 SC
I think they should have a 50 points minimum guarantee!

My limited recollection of that thread was 18 QFF points. :?:

I hear it's more or less your standard "stock suite" product. MH's F menu looks pretty good, but I think they don't have any bells or whistles on top of that on board.

Personally they are on my list to try - maybe not all that high - but I'd want to use them ex-KUL to see what the whole F experience is like from their home base.

I remember the days this thread would be idle for 2-3 days waiting for me to post....

Sometimes it can be idle... But with awesome AFFers around the world... It can be simple at times to keep it moving 24 hours a day!

Watching the tennis. Nice to see all the spectators sitting in the warmth and sunshine --- not!

If you saw what I wore into the office today ... you would easily be forgiven for mistaking me wearing my winter clothes .... not that I'm complaining, I love it

My first F experience, and the hard product is nice but I imagine it would be 'stock'. They have the typical decent asian service levels which I think helps the product along. KUL lounge is nothing special.

Very brisk this morning. And I'm still wearing a jacket at 1.30pm. Summer? Pfft.

Anyone in Perth want 2 (free) tickets to the "2013 Winter Track Cycling Grand Prix" at Midvale Speeddome?

For Sunday 30th June @ 10:00AM.

Just got home and found them in the mail from some minor competition or other. Please pm me if you know someone who might want them.

Very sad to hear of the death of Allan Simonsen - a talented driver with a reputation as a really nice guy.
I can't open the you tube links up here at the moment as the VPN is not playing the game (or it may be the great firewall of China) but I remember Button and the F1 McLaren Mercedes at Bathurst. Apparently he showed his talent by taking Craig Lowndes' Commodore by the scruff of the neck around what is regarded as one of the world's toughest circuits. Even more impressive was Lowndes repaying the favour in his first and only drive of an F1 car by getting to around a second of Button's time in the F1 car!
