The totally off-topic thread

I have come home and at least 2 threads on AFF have gone viral.

Interested if today's AFF post count is the highest ever in a day. Mwenenzi?

I've replied on the first .. what's the 2nd?

Perhaps we should just create a master thread -> "The sky is falling in" ;)

I think tonight is the coldest night I have experienced in Brisbane in 5 years. Brrrr....

And I've been thinking it hasn't been too bad. I still haven't sent Mr Katie forraging in the back shed for the oil heaters. And we live in a 2 storey wooden Qlder/renoed Worker's cottage, all wood, rather cool!!

All is good.

Now for those DSC offers to be abolished and we are back to normal. ;) I better not mention the war though. :p

Great to be a Queenslander even if I currently reside in Western Australia, never had the game start and finish so early, even after a bit of a delay for some political coverage.

Lucky there is channel 9 GEM in WA so I could watch the game live.

How is it that we barely got up to scratch in match 1 and now we seem to be kicking butt? Doesn't make sense.

And don't give me this whole home ground advantage fluff.... if it were that scientific then NSW have this in the bag eventually.

It shows how competitive the game is, you only need to be off your game just a bit and you get flogged by the opposition.

.. and providing me with good entertainment through some otherwise dull conference calls! Thank goodness I have a mute button.

Mute buttons should be used by all participants of conference calls.. except whomever is speaking.

Nothing worse than hearing everyones background noises... keyboard, doors slamming, conversations... And once even birds chirping.

What is wrong with chirping birds?

It is a lovely sound and one of the good things about being out on a golf course.

And if it's not chirping does that mean you've hit the birdie? And isn't that a good thing on a golf course? ;)

Certainly did the one time I did.Really annoyed-about the only drive I got off the ground that day.

If birds are not chirping it means I am concentrating.

Either way it is great to be out on a golf course. ;)

A wise man once said "A bad day on a golf course is better than the best day at the office".

Interesting there hasn't been a thread on "Qantas website upgrade".

Horrible....
