Vale Peter Lehmann, I shall be cracking a bottle of one of your better drops tonight in your honour Sir!

Thanks for the heads up markis10, as a Radelaidean have been to the cellar door too many times.
Yes, I think my red tonight will be in his most deserved honour.

...and the chap from Devo who wrote "Whip It", in London on Wednesday night, aged just 58 I think.
Apperently a very rare form of brain tumour.

Will have to wait until tomorrow night when back home to open a bottle of Lehmann red as a tribute to a great winemaker.

Escaping from the other airport... I like your thinking :p :p

Not sure I would call it escaping!

The previous flight from/to SYD has been cancelled and the one after mine is delayed ~35mins already. What chance mine will be on time?

And as a Gold I am in 8A with an aisle seat preference. There must be a lot of VA Platinums flying on the 6:05 OOL-SYD on a Friday afternoon.

I flew ahead of my booked VA flight. We were 15 minutes late to gate at SYD, which technically is "on time"; not sure why we had a slow pushback at BNE.

Also managed to get 3A even after switching flights, of which 3B and 3C were all well-built fellows. Only 3E was free. One free seat in J. None of the row 3 and only one row 4 pax were Flexis (based on who got a free snack).

Currently in SYD lounge sweating it out over my laptop to finish some work before heading in. It's busy here but there is a little peppering of free seats about.

I was given ordinary news today:

You must do some significant flying on a carrier you have no status on which earn no status credits or miles.

Why ??????

My customer is indeed Travel industry related, I think this is going to end in tears. I was going to get close to P1 this year without any extra travel, but I reckon thats gone by the wayside.

I have to look on the bright side, ill be able to do trip reports on some stuff that nobody here in thier right mind would travel on. ;)

I'm looking for the thumbs down button......:(

That's not a "bright side". That's called "taking one for the team"! :(

All been sold to Wimbledon tennis food vendors?

They sell 50 tonnes or some rediculous amount like that at Wimbledon.

Tesco has a buy strawberries, get cream free promo. I was wanting to buy strawberries, cream and champers but strawberries are very thin on the ground it seems.
