They sell 50 tonnes or some rediculous amount like that at Wimbledon.

Tesco has a buy strawberries, get cream free promo. I was wanting to buy strawberries, cream and champers but strawberries are very thin on the ground it seems.

I had a very nice punnet from my local co-op the other night

In the big wet a punnet was going for around $8 at my local green grocer. Weather & fresh - go hand in hand.

I think they are grown indoors over here. They seem to be available most (all?) Of the year. They also import from Europe at times. Btw. A 455g punnet is currently £2....

Re: The totally cat thread

Do golf clubs hold social events? I would imagine it's easier finding a woman who enjoys playing golf there.
The majority of women at my golf club (when I say majority there are not that many women members there) are too old for me and the rest are either married or have a boyfriend or batting (should that be clubbing?) for the other team.

I may have to advertise in the classifieds for a travel partner! ;)

Maybe you should watch the SBS 2 show "If you are the One". You may even want to be a contestant?

It is shown at 8.40pm on Friday nights.

Hmm maybe you need to start a "bad swingers club" then? you can call it "Legs too far apart" club, or "always missing the hole" club..or "Driving a little short"?

Thanks you've all been a great audience :P

You London contingent are letting the side down...what's with all the rain? My Wimbledon viewing is constantly being interrupted...or I have to watch boring players like Ferrer.

Well, I was going to say my dedication in staying up late each night trumps that but then I remembered you are supposedly in the middle of summer...and there are no strawberries left. :D

I just had a few more from the punnet in my fridge ;)

The strawberry drought is over... I found a punnet, got my free double cream and demolished them. Quite nice.
