Thanks John great suggestion,

I hope two fruits are ok, brought these last week and eating through them slowly, I give the container the weekend to dry out and I buy some rice next week.

I think you should be fine. Any hard plastic container will do the trick.

100 thousand at the MCG tonight for the soccer but Qatar won the right to host the World Cup over Australia?

Its unreal...all to see a team beaten twice by West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League last year. I imagine there would be another 100,000 locked out if The Baggies were playing Melbourne Victory! :p

You guys!

Did anyone see the Ch 7 news where they fired a baby out of a cannon in London?

ABC iView, SBS and a few other streaming services get me what I want to watch!

Was checking through my email and just remembered that I have a $500 voucher with Qantas that I bought last year.

Such a <expletive> shame that the current domestic QF sales don't cover some of the latter months of this year....

Hopefully it was purchased less than 12 months ago.

Didn't you add your FF to the voucher using BA MMB? (It then shows up on you Qantas.com log of bookings.)

December, so I have some "breathing room", but obviously not much more to go.

Didn't know that trick, so no. But suffice to say with so little travel this year, logging into my QF account let alone checking QF MMB is a pretty rare occurrence in and of itself.

When did gift registries for engagement parties become the norm....endless excuses for presents

As far as I know, they were never the norm. Wishing wells and requests for money instead of gifts is the norm in my circles.

We didn't request anything for our engagement party. A few people did give small gifts / money, but it certainly wasn't expected.

It would be funny if they did not even make it to the wedding!

OK. I know it is not funny but you know what I mean. ;)
