Got to love hard rubbish collections, we had one recently and it was interesting to see what went quickly and what stayed.

I put out an old tall boy with the back off and some of the drawers had no bottom. It went within hours as did an old air conditioner.

I doubt there is an analogue television left in the area with so many of them on the street. There must be something in them that is valuable because the back has been taken off and something removed. No idea what though.

Am also seeing lots of people walking and driving checking out the piles of stuff. A good way to check out the neighbourhood.

Copper coils.

Last year, every single thing I put out was gone by collection day :D

And just to add drama of mums trip the luggage is also lost. I hope they find it as most items are not replaceable.

I'm not a pessimist in any sense, though I can relate to a shocking travel related week as well JohnK. :(

Au contraire!

By the looks of this spot.. er, shot, his pedigree is clear:

The question is: Just how much will be left when he turns 40 in 9 years?
What bald spot??? Oh, on him. Sorry, I hadn't noticed, apparently spending too long looking at the wrong person :o.

Their son should be a good looking Windor, unlike his paternal grandfather...

Read this the other day.

'Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.'

That reminds me a part of a book that I read last year.

. I wish that I had let myself be happier,

Read more: The top five regrets of the dying

The book has got some great references, people can choose a lot of things, you can choose to be happy.
John so you are telling us about all the terrible things that have happened but the holiday must have been good for your mum, and traveling business class is a lot better than traveling economy.

Nice that you are all so upbeat today.

I try to make the best of whatever situation I am presented with.

I saw another doctor today.

No diagnosis, just some more tests and another swipe of the credit card :( :(

On the plus side a 9am appointment near my house meant I could sleep in a little later than normal :)

Last year, I had stuff taken from my nature strip, and other stuff dumped there...cannot recall the detail, but it did not comply with the 'rules', so guess that is why. It was collected anyway.
