Try starting with a billion and see if you can send it all off in a couple of years. It would be hard and it could be fun.........

Press and hold the button on the top until you get a slider with 'slide to power off'. Slide, and you are powered off.

But make sure you remember your PIN. I have had several moments of panic as I stare at the phone and try to remember which "special" PIN I used for the phone.

I was in Canberra for the weekend and passed someone I recognised and automatically said hello in passing (thinking they were also a conference attendee). I got a cheerful hello back. It wasn't until I'd taken a couple of steps that I realised the woman was a flight attendant I'd had on a previous QF and she would not have know me from a bar of soap. I later realised all the QF uniformed staff was an indicator this was "their" Canberra hotel. Well, that and the fact the in room menu telling me QF staff are exempt from paying the room service delivery fee.

As least you didn't have to remember your PIN Number. I hate it when people do that.

Did anyone watch the 4 corners piece in Nathan Tinkler.

From one end of the TV spectrum to the other, Big Brother started tonight (don't judge me...)

Interestingly, there's a VA FA in there. I wonder if she'll have to give a safety demonstration? I wonder if VA will run BB promo fares to/from OOL or BNE? LOL.

There's also a fireman, a former solider & a former cop in there. So if there's an emergency in there, they'll be ok.

Or if someone requests a Village People hit.

Would any concession also be available for AFF members?

In my opinion it has raised more questions with me than answers.

I have to wonder where all his millions have gone...

I've just finished the AFR report in the weekend edition, I reckon there's a lot more to be told in this story.

I did watch it. An interesting story and an interesting man. There is definitely more to the story.

He certainly knew/knows how to spend money like its going out of fashion... It is unclear in the public domain whether he is completely broke or has a few [more?] million stashed away somewhere "out of reach". Both are possible given what is publicly known.

Tinkler borrowed heavily against his assets and purchased cough like race horses and football teams and private jets and such. He may have money stashed away, but I'd say he just substantially wasted it. As Gerry Harvey said he did some stupid things

I would hang on to it, spend it slowly and still have fun....

How does a carer get a medical certificate for his Place Of Employment when the person he is caring for when (for whatever reason) that person does not go to a doctor on this occasion?

Do you need a medical certificate for carer's leave?

Do you need a medical certificate for carer's leave?

According to my immediate manager, I do.

So now I'm waiting to see a doctor (mum & I see the same doctor, luckily) but there's a wait. I'm not sick but I have to get a medical certificate to say that I'm caring for someone. To do that, I need to drag that sick person out of her sick bed where she's happily resting. Or I need to wait here & see a doctor & be away from the sick person.

The ironic thing about it is that I can't do my normal job today anyway due to a medical paperwork screw up.

What's your EA say in that regard? For one day I would of thought it unreasonable to need a med cert for carers leave?

I'll have to look at the EA when I get home but with the certificate, I'll be covered in any event.

There's a whole range of scenarios that could be in play depending on the length of leave, my shiftworking status & the type of leave & when my days off fall.
