That is true. However I'm also on a very tight luggage allowance so anything bulky is stopping me doing the shopping I actually want to do. I'll try to pick up something tomorrow. But Italy is still looking pretty warm.

Italy will be warm, well.. depending on where you go. I did jacket & scarf in Venice, jeans + shirt in Florence then shorts + shirt in Rome.

With the coat.. you can always just "wear"/carry it on with you so no issues there!

*Heads off to pack jacket in the carry-on*

Cheers :D

You do know if you wear it, it doesn't count to your luggage allowance? :)

Last time we went there you didn't have a scarf or jacket in Venice; I'm pretty sure you were shorts and shirt all the way (except in Rome where we may have needed more coverings to visit the Vatican).

You're getting soft. :p

Hmm, I thought I remembered Venice being a bit cooler! Maybe it's because I was banged up with a cold.... but yep, definitely warmer down south.

Definitely cooler in Venice than further south. The cold may have had something to do with it.

When Venice gets to summer, however, I think it's better to be in Rome!

A little something I knocked up earlier after seeing this online last week.

ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1379474782.346463.jpg

I've already shown it to the QR social media team on Twitter & they like it.

On a related front, there's graphic footage released by QR today about how lucky some guy was not to be killed as he forced the level crossing gate & walked in front of an express train.

I won't add the video here but if you go to QR's YouTube channel, you'll find it.

The weather in Paris is just as bad as London; I really need to buy myself a jacket... :-|

Did you forget to pack a cardigan or jacket?

I do not travel anywhere without a jacket. Even day trip in middle of summer.

I didn't take a jacket to Brisvegas last week - didn't feel the need to.

Well at least you're sitting in.... where are you?

Damn IFE resets. What happened to the good ol' days when all you did was kick the box back to life...

I'm in J, view is taken from the sofa at the front.
Looks like I might need to fire up the MBA :(

My HKG-BKK they reset it 2 or 3 times. Yeh .. we had no IFE all flight so I had to converse with Mrs Flashback over dinner instead! Have to love dining together in F though.

Don't forget to demand compo & do a IFE failure thread! :p

Was the butter ok? :p

Any hope of going out in public with eyes closed?

I am still amazed at the things some people do. Common sense is gone. Seriously.

Went for another ultrasound today. They have a water cooler and plastic cups. When you grab a plastic cup more than one comes off. There were plastic cups everywhere. I was thirsty and grabbed a plastic cup to drink some water. A few minutes later this woman (I used the term very loosely) grabs a plastic cup but 2 come out. So she puts her fingers in the top cup and pulls them apart and keeps the bottom cup and puts the top cup with her fingers in it back it to the bottom of the pile which will be the first cup to come out for next person.

How disgusting. Am I over reacting?

And then another woman goes over and grabs a cup from pile and drinks water and then puts the cup on the table with a whole lof of other cups. What is wrong with putting the cup in the bin? Someone can mistake those cups on the table as clean cups.

I got up and collected all the loose cups and put them in the bin and sat back down again.

This is how people get sick and find out many years later.

I packed a hoodie, a denim jacket and a cardigan. None of which were any match for the winds up the Eiffel Tower last night.
