Well last day before heading off on our next trip.Started off with 9 holes of golf at 0500.Hadn't played for a while so had forgotten a lot of my mistakes.Even broke 50 for the 9 holes-that is good for me.Even more remarkable made a birdie on one of the par 3s.
Then getting organised for departure.
Finished with a nice dinner at Hungry Feel.
Final glass of red and soon of to bed.

Excellent.

Some of my better golf has been first up after a spell.

hmm, Hungry Feel:D....safe travels

Only ever played golf once in my life, at Bermagui on the NSW south coast.
Thought I was winning as I had the highest score :D then the truth came out

I did have a short career playing Putt Putt on Victoria Road Ermington

I'm better at 10 pin bowling when I've been drinking

I scored 297 once in league bowling and I would have been over the driving limit, I was in the relaxed mode before entering leg less mode . I got the end of season trophy for highest scratch score all year!

Found out yesterday that I am working NYE. I'm not surprised but I am frustrated because the day after, I'm going to America using 2 months long service leave. It would have been nice to have that day off.

I have my feelers out in case anyone wants to volunteer to work in my place or work earlier (I start at 2010). It has happened before to my surprise. Failing that, I'll throw myself at the mercy of my Roster God.

Surprisingly, there are some people not working anytime on NYE (not including people on preplanned leave - like I tried to be) despite a all night train service.

Some people only dream of a 297!

For the non bowlers amongst us, that's only 3 pins off a perfect game.

Yep, I am too. Same with Pool actually as well. Of course it is a pretty steep curve - the improvement doesn't really trend very well ;)

That describes my Pool game, there is a sweet spot of tipsyness where I'm pretty good. Before or after it, I'm rather useless at the game.

Hope you've got a file in your laptop/ipad detailing lats and longs or postcodes of all mrs drron's shopping stops. Just remember 'A happy wife is a happy life'. :)

My Gold QFF pack finally arrived today. Took more than 3 weeks, and none too soon as I'll turn WP with next week's flights. Sadly only LTB 100%.

I notice that the new gold bag tags have a white kangaroo logo and QANTAS script, whereas the earlier gold tags have a red roo logo with white QANTAS script.
