Dear JohnK,

Please stay off the morning trains in London.

Yesterday, my commuter train was 45 minutes delayed. Today it was 20. To add to today's delay though, there were no trains to Hammersmith from Victoria on the District Line so I had to change onto the Piccadilly line at Kangaroo Court.

Yours Sincerely,
Flashback

That is shocking. How hard can it be?

Rest assured that if I was driving for LU that I'd be driving on the afternoon trains.

I've got a pretty good record of being on days off when my network has gone severely pear shaped. Maybe they should pay me every day & problems solved!

Reminds me of the Russian joke, "They pretend to pay us, and we pretend to work!"

For those travelling to NYC this month-it is snowing right now.

I saw this one on FB & thought of those in the northern hemisphere. The graphic (not mine) is missing a photo of an Australian beach & the caption "What snow?"

That said, I am aware it has snowed recently in Australia.

I saw my first snow at Cradle Mtn (not falling) in December one year & in Reno (falling). My first blizzard was NYC in February this year.

Beautiful day in Ushuia. Killing a bit of time prior to boarding my boat to Antarctica this afternoon for the next ten days :).

The top picture should actually have a very very thin layer of snow aka a dusting, then the text on it would be right as per London standards............ Mal will confirm that ;)

Confirmed...
It has to be fake. Public transport is running!

I only had a 15 minute delay coming home tonight :D

Strange, I often never get delays.. then this week has been delays (fairly large ones, considering) 2 days in a row.

The good thing about working close to where you live is to be able to walk home if there are serious delays.

Still waiting to find out if I have a job after Friday; this is becoming a regular occurance around here....
