The totally off-topic thread

Just heading back home to MEL tonight from a week in TSV via BNE and an amazingly drunk guy who was shadow boxing and talking/yelling to himself sitting behind me in 3A. (Pulled the seat a few times but not often thank god!)

Luckily there was nobody next to him.

I haven't seen someone that drunk in ages, getting off the plane he steamrolled a FA getting off the plane.

Was well dressed , just obviously had a big day. He smelt really bad too!

Not sure how he got on the plane in the first place as he could hardly walk. What's QF's RSA policy adherence like?

Can they/do they deny boarding often?

More on this topic....

Apperntly the person chosen to carry out the internal probe is underterred at the prospect of sniffing out the criminal ring.
Something stinks about this hole thing. It might even be an inside job.
I can't help noticing that this thread combines the 'ring' theme with one about digital tv....

My temp guage is reporting 44 in Adelaide right now.
It might be out a bit but Burnside pool here I come....... :p

I remember those days in Adelaide, and especially the nights when the temperature hovered around 30. It all came back vividly many years ago when I departed (the original) QF1 in BKK and entered the aerobridge.

Nup.

The kitchen is a crisp 29 degrees atm.

I miss ducted r/c air conditioning. I must leave a note for Santa.

Having lived in Radelaide without a/c, I feel for you. My ducted r/c a/c has just given a burst of cold air to keep the house at 22. Must be unusually warm in CBR tonight.

Still rather toasty in Adelaide at 10.20pm. (I need to be very specific about times and temps apparently)

We used to sleep on the lawns before air conditioning.

Problem with that is that the sun often wakes you up at 5am or thereabouts (Adelaide time).

I really need to stop thinking of ways to spend money I do not have to spend....

The Adelaide Advertiser online has led a headline 'Speed Cameras are just revenue raisers' according to the Head of the state's economic think tank. Well I'll beef hooked.

Can they be anything else? There are way too many of them.

Slow down when you approach the camera, accelerate again when you are past it. Only the poor sods who are unaware or were not paying attention get caught.

How soon before every stretch of road is monitored?
