Yes, it's pathetic really, over one years membership and only 200 (now 201) responses.

With all the hoopla over other milestones I just thought I'd say WOO HOO!!!

.and why not.

only about 10 posts till I hit the big 500.

I thought I'd mention that :)

No prizes for guessing when it will be. Most likely by Wednesday this week!

It is a good achievement. :)

Wouldn't call it pathetic. Posting rate is above average for AFF site.

To bring this topic back on track. I'd like to say that I'm a recliner, and I love all the air I can get. So on future flights I plan to SLAM my seat back as hard and as fast as I can, so that I might be lucky and get more air. Maybe the extra air will dilute your bad breath which I have reclined into hahaha. Maybe I might get the headrest shaking treatment which would be great on those non-massage Y seats :P

Seriously, I'm 6'0" maybe a tad taller, and never have any problems with my knees. If you don't slouch in the seat, you will have more knee room. But obviously it comes down to respecting others. I don't have sit straight for the lap-top guy behind, but he doesn't need to cover his mouth whilst sneezing/coughing either.

Also my left headphone for the Shure E3c is considerably softer than the right side. Have tested with different players and bits of music. They seem clean. Any Ideas? Or a send back under warranty job?

Mal.

I do hope that I am on a flight where you are sitting directly in front of JohnK, and I am across the aisle and few seats back so that I can enjoy the show. 8)

I have a FA client who once mentioned a recline/anti-recline incident. She said it was between two BIG blokes, one military and the other police as they were having arguements about that aswell. In the end she said it was easier to separate them. I believe it was the anti-recliner who was upgraded. Do I sense a new technique for Free upgrades???

Now that is another oxymoron, this is the off topic thread (see previous pages re what is on or off topic).

Hmmm. (checks calendar)

It must be time for pick on John day again. :(

Generally I am one of the most placid people you will meet. Two valium's before each flight and I couldn't care less if the person in front was a terrorist let alone a recliner.

Sorry to dissapoint you Yada Yada but there would be no fireworks.

Darn. I was picturing cabbage74 trying to perform a "fast recline" while you use your knees to stop it from happening.

So cabbage74, what happened to cabbage73, cabbage72, etc?

Having met JohnK and invited him into the BNE F lounge for a few HP's, I'd have to agree with his self-assessment (about being placid - although I didn't realise he'd popped some Valiums).

Now he does enjoy a good stir against any of us from time to time. I'm sure he can take as good as he gets.

More useless statistics.

With all the excitement generated on the AFF site we missed the fact that this thread has now become the thread with the most posts, 292, passing the famous thread "Lindsay's 1,000th post?? Prize up for grabs" with 285 posts.

To be fair that thread was cut short in it's prime and could have generated many more posts, possibly becoming the first thread to reach 1,000 posts on AFF.

Wow, two threads started by me becoming "top of the pops"...who'd have ever thought  ...

That one was cut off in it's prime for a good reason...

One of the necessary evils, in my case saviour, in life Lindsay. It is called claustrophobia more prevalent inside cramped metal tubes flying in the sky.

Bring it on anytime. :P

Did the question of OT being OT or OT for this OT thread get resolved?

OT being on topic and off topic of course.

Is it OT to discuss if OT refers to on topic or off topic, and if so which OT?

Perhaps this post is OT and therefore also OT on this OT thread? But if it is OT and OT then surely it must not be OT and therefore not OT for this particular thread.

GOT it?

Careful with this thread; one day it will achieve critical mass and due to it's inherent instability it will behave in a similar fashion to that of the fabled 'Phoux' bird of Far Eastern legend.

This bird flew about in ever-decreasing concentric circles until it disappeared down its own fundamental orifice and emerged in the fourth dimension as a needle-thin umber bird!
