The totally off-topic thread

Phew, made it to SYD F Lounge with 30mins before boardin. Lucky I didn't take the express paths, then I'd only have about 5mins.

I'm so glad you are not charging to read ... your post.

I was once charged by a solicitor (ex judge) for reading a phone message asking him to open my email (another invoice right there).

I was prepared, given your clear desperation to have the last word, to simply let you have it (it's no skin off my nose) but I really do have to object to your frequent blagging, random changes of actual issue, and intent to continue trying to keep recasting (and casting aspersions) events.

So, in hope that the tin foil hat of yours might finally be removed, here is what actually happened (not just what occurred within the tin hat area).

Post #30487 was the original post

.

Princess Fiona, a resident of NSW, understandably upset by what amounts to harassment from a less than neighbourly neighbour. Note she doesn't mention said neighbour actually ever talking to her in an acceptable fashion, rather she's aggrieved by passive-aggressive behaviour from an idiot.

Post #30488, where I sympathised with Princess Fiona the behaviour of such quellrents, who often take minor issues and instead of resolving them like adults, make them snowball into massive disputes.

If, as you say in Post#30508, you 'deal with these sorts of matters on an almost daily baisis [sic]' then you'd be aware that these sort of disputes can and do escalate into matters of trespass, assault, battery, property damage and yes - there has even been a couple of murders - from idiotic quellrents who have lost all common sense and grip on reality and who have consumed themselves, their families, their whole communities with what where nothing more than minor issues.

In your first interjecting post of #30491, you infer that Princess Fiona's neighbour was *surprisingly* doing the right thing putting nasty letters in her letterbox (according to the first sentence). That's despite contradicting that message that with your third sentence suggesting laws and regulations are to be obeyed (although I suspect you wrote this only with a view to justify such behaviour, and didn't intend for it to be read as universally applying, as it should) - because I'm pretty sure harassing your neighbours, even if you consider yourself to be harassed by them previously, is neither lawful or ethical or wise!

#30491

You then go on to refer to EPA in SA (post #30495), and EPA in Vic (post #30498) neither of which have any relevance to NSW.

In Post #30947 I point out that by law isn't just one amorphous blob, it is has different levels and different jurisdictions, and is viewed by the legal profession in accordance with its seniority in our legislative framework. Furthermore I state:

Rather than pay any attention to such reasonable advice, you appear to find challenge to Parliament (lol) where no such position exists. Is this a case of reading what suits you, rather than what's actually there?

Or, as you later - surprisingly and without a hint of self-awareness - accuse in post#30511:

Really Austman... Really! Lol.

As I not unreasonably advise in post#30499, I suggest:

And yes, nowhere in posts up to that point, indeed up to post#30508 in any small way do you show any understanding that unauthorised people playing EPA/Council whatever enforcer is a bad idea. It seems you think that it's not an issue that is important or relevant - despite the harm it can do.

And nothing I have said suggests in any fashion, or contradicts the right of people from making allegations of breaches of the law, to the properly recognised authorities for carrying out such legal enforcement activity as is relevant!

In post #30501 you decide to change the subject to suggest EPA 'regulate' in the sense of having some law making power all by its own authority (and not through the legitimate powers of the State Parliament) - which has nothing to do with people playing cop in their community. Then in post #30502 you throw in EPA NSW which again which has nothing to do with people playing cop in their community, but at least you are now in the right jurisdiction. In post#30504 you debate what the legal meaning of regulate is by referring to a info sheet (highlighting the dangers of bush lawyering - anyone can use Google, but generally the Supreme Court requires more training to become a lawyer lol).

I try to bring you back on point, fruitlessly, in post#30505

Clearly I wasted my time, because you again provide a contradictory statement saying it's all about abiding the law, yet apparently completely fine to unlawfully play police man/council officer/EPA employee quoting how you are entitled to take the law into your hands and police your neighbours in post#30508

Yet, stupidly I tried again in highlight the dangers of such behaviour in post#30510

By your post#30511 I realised you just wanted to have the last word, so despite the blatant hypocrisy of said post, I left you with your tin hat.

But you just couldn't help yourself and went on to keep your angst alive and in Post#30517 even requoted me (and you chose to make out that quellrents haven't taken such minor problems to the nth degree, just to regain some of your deflated ego - shame that). Well, you got what you wished for - and don't you look the sillier for it.

Just got off qf616 in bne after 2 mini bottles off sparkling wine and yummy asian veg lunch (thanks for the tip) Now heading for ntl. That was my first dom bus flight. I feel like a kid wanting another ride at the fair... can I go again please...

It would be interesting to have this collection in your car when pulled over!

I burnt 650,000 QFF points today, my largest burn ever by a long way, feels good!

And Reload where are you going?

Taking mrs ReLoad and the ReLoad Jrs stateside in Nov/Dec. Got a pair of Classic awards for the kids and using the companion fare sale for the 2 adults.

It sounds lame but all my flying and earning for the last few years has been geared around this trip, whilst it doesn't get me extra time with the family it is a small thank you for me being away so much, its the least I can do.
Mrs ReLoad has never flown J long haul before so she is in for a treat. I'm also putting her in for the F upgrade on the way over as a special thank you. (wont tell her so she wont know if it doesn't come off)

Oh and I snuck in a quick pair of W to J upgrade requests for a LAX trip in 2 weeks ;)

Reported as cosmetic damage only, and will be repaired tonight.

Neither of which helped me this afternoon.

My satnav (live traffic updates) took me an, uh, interesting way.

Time penalty wasn't too bad (extra 10-15 mins).

Really?

I would have thought the best points were the ones you got very cheaply or even free.

Excluding ATO CC point earn - I class all points as free!

Jessica Tam has summed up my sentiments perfectly......these points are worth nothing sitting on QF books.
