Does anyone ever wonder what strangers are thinking when they are looking at you?

Not a man I saw outside the pub under Central Station on Ann St, 10yrs ago just after I'd shaved my hair off for the Shave for a Cure. He gave me the filthiest look ever. I guess I've made an assumption just what he was thinking, but it certainly didn't seem to be that I was a chemo patient, like most thought.
Or a man, like many retail staff thought when I went to the US 4-8 weeks later. I bought a couple of tight, low-cut tops as I was sick of being called Sir.

I thought mrs.dr.rons was funny, then I read yours. Looks like I need another new screen - and a good nose blow (damn I hate it when that happens). I really must stop reading AFF with a cuppa in hand :o
So I'm off the hook? :D
Happy to chip in with Pushka and mrs.dr.ron to buy you a waterproof cover for your laptop (a.k.a. a roll of gladwrap) ;)

Approaching 5PM on a Friday afternoon and it looks like Sydney is about to cause network issues.

I think it'd be easier to use the glad wrap on WP's mouth!

Lucky my son just left Sydney on his flight for a home visit. I'm going to have a great long weekend. Perfect Adelaide sunny weather, all family home and I'm leaving Monday for a cruise on QM2 to Hong Kong via Shanghai. Climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge on Friday so hoping for perfect weather!

Life is good.

We'll miss you over the next couple of weeks as I'm sure that you are going to enjoy some time with Mr Pushka and not worry too much about posting while you're on the QM.

I shudder to think about how expensive the internet will be on the QM.

Have a blast, Pushka!

Mr Pushka isn't going  He doesn't like boats. :D

I'm travelling with another AFF'er who might show her face shortly.

Which means erkpod, double blast when the ladies get into their stride.

The internet isn't too expensive it's just reaallly sloooow. I'll try posting using the App.

Two TR for the price of one? ;)

I remember calculators being around in 1975 but being hugely expensive. As all teenage boys are want to do we quickly learnt to misuse them and write rude words using the numbers. ;)

I actually learnt to use a slide rule but for the life of me couldn't use it now.

Is trigonometry still taught using those books with lots of little figures?

I still have my slide rule and a calculus text
Took the slide rule to my childs maths high school evening
None of the young teachers knew what it was!

Those teachers must be quite young indeed. Even though we never even came close to using one, most of us in school my age knew what a slide rule was, let alone knew at least how to use it for multiplication and division.

TR or no TR, normal road trip rules still apply - some things that happen on the QM2...;)
Have a fabulous time! :D

JohnK banks are fair game. I hope you are reading the ANZ story on fees and charges and now they are appealing the case so maybe they will miss out on having to refund some charges.
