I've seen the cautions, "Warning: Contents may be hot", but this is ridiculous.

Samsung Galaxy S3. Why isn't use "Automatic time zone" working?

Dunno...I don't use it because I don't trust the feature to be correct. That applies to all mobile devices.

Was this story released a bit premature for April Fool's day?

Indeed. :) The Sunday Sport has a long and rich tradition of publishing entirely made up ridiculous stories that have nothing to do with sport (and may not even be published on Sunday - not sure).

I should have put my glasses on to read the article because I didn't read this bit correctly - got one word wrong:

".....I'm still in agony and can barely walk."

Hi All,

Sorry for being a downer in this thread. I just had some bad news and I am the first to know so I can't discuss it anywhere else yet.
My mum (who is just 51) has been diagnosed with breast cancer, I had a friend (who was also 51) die of cancer in January. He had a 1 year old son, so that killed me at the time - also I didn't know how old he was until his paper article thing. I guess my mum found out yesterday, maybe this morning, the operation is booked in for a few weeks time. So I thought that was good, thinking if it was super bad they would do it right away, then my dad said it was the earliest they could get and … My friend had lung cancer mid last year and while recovering from that (he thought he was in the clear) they found cancer in his spine, he had an operation and was recovering in hospital quite well his wife said, but about 4 days later he went down hill and he didn't make it through 24 hours. His family (sister, parents) were adamant it was an infection post op, but his wife believes it was the cancer and that the family just wanted to blame the hospital some how.
This has only just happened, so now I am more concerned than I would have been I think.

My mum had mentioned going to my cousins wedding in America, but she waited too long to decide and now it is too expensive. We are going to cairns in May, as a family, well we are meant to be, My sister, her husband, my parents and my and my +1.
I feel weird.
My trip to the wedding is 6 weeks. I don't know how I feel about going, but it is a USDM redemption and I can't easily change it now and we only have 60,000 points so i can't book her to come with us, but she wouldn't be able to fly the same flights now they have left USDM anyway… unless we cancel and rebook as OW..

I really needed to talk to someone, it might be ages before she tells anyone else - being the favourite sucks.

That is really sad news.

The best wishes for your mum and hoping she gets the all clear.

Shellthom, I'm sure I'll be the first of many here on AFF to wish both you and your mother best wishes for the journey ahead. Early treatment is good and knowing there is a problem (cancer) is better than not...

While you mum has challenges ahead of her, it is important for you to understand that these types of cancers can be "managed" these days with medicines, I work daily with a woman who has been through this (more than once) and she is a real survivor and was first diagnosed more than 11 years ago...

Be strong and support your mum and we'll all keep our fingers crossed for the both of you...

Thank you,
My mum definitely has some fight but usually thats about animals, we will know more in the coming weeks I guess but I am just freaking out a bit right now.
I am the kind of person that needs to talk it through and be around people when things are bad and I have been cut off from that at the moment so I could only turn here and I knew you guys would be able to get me through :)
