It was this time last year that I was in the middle of making all the arrangements to take my friend to Dignitas (to live with Dignity - to die with Dignity) in Zurich. home He too, knew he would not see out the year - his choice.

Well a little underwhelmed this year. No notice at all by BA that it was my birthday, nor any notice by Hilton - and that's with both of them looking at the passport, so they obviously don't look at the dates on them! On that note, off to bed.... and Venice seems to disappoint again. Transport on strike so was difficult to get to the hotel. Never really liked this place, not sure why I thought a 2nd time would be any better!
