First-gen Apple TV back from the dead

LOL if I lived close to an Apple store I would have brought a new one - mine was as dead as a dodo!

Just read the above article in the SMH..turned it on, voila, back working again!

Guess I owe the kids an apology when they get home from school

Oh great. I've got a gnarly wound on my lower leg & as you can imagine, it's quite sore. It's been lanced, is being dressed daily & I'm on antibiotics.

I've got a Perth status run on the second weekend in May & am going to the UK & Canada in June. Should I be concerned that I won't be ok to travel then?

Gnarly like a mallee tree stump, or gnarly like a 'cool' thing?

It just started as a small boil on the surface but now it's around 5cm x 2cm. The nurse & I saw today that the redness around it has got lighter today.

Funny conversation with the nurse who dressed it yesterday after I told her that I was a train driver. She said that she was taking today off to drive her mum to the airport. I suggested that she should take the train.

After she said the train is expensive (I can't argue that), she said that she'd catch the train if I was driving it. She's then looked down at my wound & says "Oh right ... I guess that won't be happening."

I'm not sure if the doctor today (different doctor to yesterday) was impressed or disgusted that I was able to show her on my phone about how it looked yesterday compared to today.

No the coalition wants you work to 70...
I have a deal for the coalition.

Give me a pension between 50-70 years of age and I will go out and play golf and enjoy it while I can.

In return for their kind generosity I will work from 70-90 years of age as those years are wasted playing golf.

Do you think they would go for it? Win, win deal for all. ;)

I have an even better idea, if the let me retire at 50 I'll play golf till I'm 70 then they can happily put me to sleep then. It's win all round!

No thanks. Done already.

I should just pay off my loans and credit card debt and live off my retirement income and paying very little tax.

I have done enough. Let someone else worry about keeping the economy going....
