Maybe even funnier is that a posh restaurant may permit one to order egg and chips, one of the most defining working class dinners one could ever think of! :)
Well that's dinner for tonight sorted!
King of the mountain sounds good.
Loved driving up Buttertops.

Lack of sleep setting in. The World cup penalty shoot out was a cracker this morning.
And I wonder if anyone will take Brocky's crown?

Anyone remember, ever owned or miss water beds?

Still have one. Queen with the wooden headboard and sides, and blanket roll at the end. Don't think hubby will ever give it up.

How out of date is "out-of-date"
Had this last night and so far so good...............

Purchased in 1984, our first grocery shop as a married couple. NEVER opened. Moved house with us, lives in the fridge.
Rules are - who ever opens / gets rid of it, wants a divorce.

Never owned a water bed and not likely to either.

I saw a bed with the wooden sides a few months ago, the water bed part had been removed and a Queens size mattress had been put in the middle so there was a few inches gap on each side, but generally the mattress was pushed to one side, they must have liked the mattress and never bothered to replace the rest of the bed, it was a king size bed and so the queen size mattress sat in the middle.

Owned one for around 25 yrs & loved it- about 50kg difference between me & partner but always the matresses were comfortable ! Had a pillow top now for about 8 yrs & also find it fine.

Well off to bed now.early start tomorrow.Great seeing the roads I travelled just a month ago.
And remember the 6th july is the 531st anniversary of the crowning of king Richard 111.

Sitting up in Exec Lounge in Hilton Bomonti in IST and Wimbledon final not being shown on Turkish TV - pi**ed off!

Best I can do is get audio and 'Slam Tracker' via official Wimbledon site.

We've got Wimbledon showing in Dubai and with local commentators. Can't understand Arabic all that well but they are very excited.

Great comeback from this set by Federer. Let's see if he can serve this game out to make it 2 sets a piece.

Back to my Place of Employment today. By my calculation, it's my 5th week of actual work this year. I have a week of station appreciation time as I'm coming back mid roster.

Totally unrelated, I have only 1 hockey animal mascot head to wear this year. Before I went away, I tried on the Sydney Bear head.

In Melbourne, I tried on the Melbourne Mustangs mascot head, The Stang.

Then this weekend, I tried on the head of Sydney Ice Dogs mascot, Bruiser.

This leaves the Melbourne Ice's Ice Man (ironically, often a woman) but Ice Man isn't an animal.

So the last remaining current mascot is Marty Moose from the Newcastle North Stars.

Depending on my roster & what I manage to work out, I'll be in either Melbourne or Newcastle next weekend. Watch out, Moose!

I find motor sport somewhat boring viewing. However, I would love one more squirt around mallala!

Somewhat boring?

How about totally boring? Can't believe I wasted all those hours and staying up till all hours of the morning in the 80's watching cars go around and around.

Is he the one with the big car park bill?
