Somewhat boring?

How about totally boring? Can't believe I wasted all those hours and staying up till all hours of the morning in the 80's watching cars go around and around.

It just goes to show that we are all different. For example I could describe golf with exactly the same words.

Whilst in Scotland got knocked back when trying to use the Mastercard.
Logging on to netbank it had disappeared. Not even old statements were left on there. No messages from the bank.
So rang today to find out the bank had been told by police that my card was compromised.
I said but we got knocked back in Scotland and certainly no dodgy places visited.Said I cant tell you but it happened at least 6 months ago.
So I told him how it happened.Ate at P F Changs in December in the US whose system was hacked.Have had 3 emails from them since interestingly the last on the day the bank said my card was blocked.

I'd require at least a month to appreciate most city rail stations.

In other news just had security (bhp billition) approach me on a sand dune outside OLP to ask me what I was photographing. Apparently it is strange to stand outside an airport and take photos. As well as being a security issue.

Well I get why they are a little touchy at OLP

Of course :p

I take it back. They were clearly worried about the toilet block and "lounge".

Edit: when there are whole groups of people plane spotting in ADL or any other major airport that can photograph the exact same aircraft without driving 560 km into nowhere, the suggestion of security issues around OLP is fairly dubious. There is no detail available of the minesite from where I was located, it is impossible to make out any details. In any case there is nothing of particular importance at the mine.

I was of course referring to the minesite and the material that comes out of it. ;)

Taking a photo of the airport from that location is not an issue in that case. I've never been restricted from wandering around the airport itself or taking photos around the actual airport buildings .

The material that comes out of it, is of no particular importance either. But anyone standing anywhere on 260 kms of road can take photos of the material that comes out of it.

Watching golf? That's boring as well.

Playing golf. Now that's a totally different story. And if you suck at playing golf then of course you won't like it. But even if you can sort of play golf and occasionally hit the perfect shot then you are hooked forever trying to repeat it.

There is nothing exciting about watching someone drive a car around and around. I am glad I woke up and realised it was a waste of time.

Life is too short to waste it on a couch idolising the lives of others.

But then the paranoia police can't come tell you off :p

SWMBO is making a big deal out of me being arrested taking photos. She has told me that I'll never be able to come back to work at OD. (not a big loss really, but it was half of an idea in the right circumstances)

The guy did have a bit of a point, as he claimed it was private land. As a miscellaneous purpose lease under the mining legislation he probably has a point. But then I drove on a public road without any restriction and remained outside of all fences with private property signs. That public road also goes to a (private) airport from which I can take publicly available flights.

Anyway, it was fun. Will have to put up some pictures now.

Couple guys I work with wouldn't mind not being allowed back... :)

Well I am "hooked" on golf that is unless the water or forest is on my right. Then I am "sliced" on golf.

Just bomb it down there long and straight. Only way to go. When it gets past 300 yards you start to wonder what went wrong.
