I had my number plate stolen at work. Just the front one. I reported it to the police and the guy taking the report said words to the effect "it's probably fallen off because you hadn't maintained it." I felt rather peeved at his response.

Next morning I heard on the radio that a luxury car had been stolen whilst being taken on a test drive. They later found the car. With my number plate on the front and another person's plate on the rear (also stolen from my work). The guy had to call me up to apologise and then asked me for a statement.

What is on offer?

I tasted the St Hallet Gamekeepers which seemed nice for a $10 wine, prefer over the Faith I suspect, and I was drinking a nice Chardy, will have to check Tuesday what it was.

Having your number plates stolen in Glasgow is a fairly regular occurrence.
Believe it or not it isn't to steal cars but to steal petrol from the servo

Weird. MrP just received an email from Qantas to help him prepare for his trip. That wouldn't be unusual except the trip is Monday week.

OK here's a weird one.

My car has had the wheel nut covers stolen - one for each wheel, and exactly the ones that go over the locking nuts.

The car is completely unmarked in any way - just one wheel nut cover missing from each wheel.

Happened some time between friday AM and this morning - the fact they've been removed exactly from the lock nuts only, and no damage to car or wheels, suggests to me whomever did it knew exactly what they were doing.

Weird thing to steal unless they are planning on coming back to take the rest (either the wheels or the car i guess!!).

Car was parked on quiet inner suburban street. No previous known theft / damage roc are in this street to my knowledge in the time i've been living here.

Go figure.

I would be concerned that the wheels are about to disappear. Unless someone did it as a prank wanting you to think the wheels are going to disappear. Not a nice thing regardless.

I once had the valve covers stolen from my tyres. The things people do....

Yes that is my concern.

I dont believe it was a prank (none of my mates are that "funny").

Manly is getting smashed by Bulldogs which means Bulldogs or Panthers have a chance to play in Grand Final. What a joke for the play off systems in place.
Not sure I follow your point here. Bulldogs and Panthers are so far undefeated in the finals and Manly has lost both their non elimination and elimination finals and are out. How is that system a joke?

Don't bring facts into this....

Sydney have been pretty much consistent the entire Season ... certainly romped home against the Roo's last week.

Although this year's final's have had a few upsets, it was clear to me that it was going to be a Swans v Hawks Grand final for the past few weeks.

My team ( The Tigers ) are out..... so ill be seated with some hard core Swannies on Saturday....ill be going for the atmosphere & of course drink a few Frothies :D.

Well the atmosphere at Waverley is decidedly upbeat this morning, could be time for a ginger bear ;)

Apparently a four engined jet departed CNS yesterday arvo at about 3pm. Anyone know what it was? Flight radar playback only sounds 737s/A320s and the like.

Something G20 Finance and Central Bank Governors meeting related ? They would of pulled up stumps in Cairns around then. A few unusual things around the traps just now probably all G20 related. This US G5 at BNE yesterday.

I'm going to guess it was an E-4 of some variant. Big noise spoke at 2:51pm (91db) but no aircraft on the radar.

My logic is the teams placed 4th and 7th are fighting it out for place in grand final while only 1 team of the top 3 will be there. The finals system is a joke.

What we should do is have 24 rounds of home and away and then all 16 teams have a chance to play in grand final. Even the last placed team. Makes sense?
