Oh I am so sorry Bindibuys. That must be such a shock for you. Take care.

With parents ageing we will always be on watch for that call. After mum's heart attack and stroke a few weeks ago I expect it every night. Not sleeping well at the moment.

I'm sandwhich generation today. Adult son in hospital having 3 wisdom teeth removed urgently and going backwards and forwards to hospital and collecting aged mother for an appointment. Of course son was ready to go home just after I left to collect the mother.

Rough day, my dad called me at work this morning and said "call me an ambulance" They were on site by the time I arrived, helped perform CPR with them, but we lost him. 77 is good innings, but he was still my dad. RIP

Sorry to hear your news Bindibuys. Condolences to you and your family. I feel for you.
I'm flying to SYD on Thursday to attend the funeral of Mrs B's BIL.
Too much bad news lately.

Condolences Bindibuys

A good innings indeed, but it is never easy.

At least you can take comfort in knowing who's assistance he valued most!

Yes that is a bad day, sorry for your loss.

That was fast, I think a few of us have parents in that age bracket.

Condolences, Bindibuys.

Dreadful news Bindibuys. I am sorry. Regardless of how old our parents are when they die, it is never old enough.

Thoroughly enjoyed F in the new AA A321T SFO-JFK yesterday. A really very acceptable Sonoma sparkling with a very good breakfast and the two cappaccinos over Wyoming and Nebraska were tops (strong and hot).

AA has really lifted its game. I'm looking at them through totally different eyes now :).

Followed that with my first ride in a B787. It was on LAN in J JFK-SCL. Impressive bird but still seems to have the characteristic deep and fairly loud Boeing engine roar compared with an A380. Love the big windows, though.

Good to hear, I'm doing the JFK-LAX leg in F next month and I can't wait.

So sorry to hear your sad news Bindi - been there - done that - unfortunately there is life and there is death - life is so precious.

Mourn you way - just one piece of advice I give everybody - just try to remember all the good times - try to avoid the 'I should have done this or I should have done that'. We never get over losing loved ones but in time somehow we learn to live with it.

May your dad R.I.P. - I am sure he is looking down lovingly on those he can no longer touch.
