I helped remove a tree that partially blocked a major road & I still got to work on time!

My orange wet weather jacket that I keep in the back of my car certainly came in handy again!

Some of the debris that crashed into the back of the house today!

I've been following the fire situation with at least 2 homes destroyed. Am supposed to be on RFS Comms duty tomorrow (not in the Blue Mountains but an adjoining zone).

Am standing by in case I am needed for an all nighter instead. There are crews from my area in the mountains tonight.

Sadly I don't have an orange wet weather jacket in the back of my car, but I do have a chainsaw.

Not an inconvenience to the FIFO crowd.

I think that's been a requirement for a long time. I think it is similar in Switzerland, or at least you (just like France) need to carry a warning triangle that you would set up to alert drivers in case you have to stop on the road.

German licensed drivers need to carry a first aid kit (and likewise are first aid trained as part of their licensing process).

We need to buy a simple mobile phone for our super olds. They are 91 and 88 and need a phone for about 10 possible calls that would get them an ambulance ,a daughter , a doctor and things like this.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Have you thought about a VitalCall system?
Many of the elderly patients I see in ED still living at home have this.
If something's wrong and they panic it saves them having to locate the mobile and remember how to use it and who to call.

We have the home fixed. The mobile phone is when they are away from home and need to make a call to get help. It would need about 8 numbers on the front "page screen".

They exist, and I have seen them marketed in Australia. Generally are known as 'Seniors Phones'.

Have no experience in selecting or using them though.
